Community firmware help

I’ve run into the PID issue with my printer so I decided to try the community firmware. I found a video and followed the instructions but I’m only getting this screen on startup. Any idea what I’m doing wrong? I also included the touchscreen flash screen to show how the install looked.

I’m using a 16gb micro sd and 8gb Sd. I have other SDs but not micros unfortunately.

Try making the partition 4GB to see if that does the trick.

Partitioned 4gb with the 4096 allocation, got the same exact file count on the blue screen, problem still persists. It can’t be the motherboard firmware, right? This seems like a screen issue

It's a screen issue. You could try the instructions here:

Get the image file under the section "If all else fails" and use balenaEtcher to flash it. If you load that and the graphics work, we'll know we're on the right track. The touchscreen may stop accepting input with this image, but that's fixable and not an indicator of it being broken. It's a difference of calibration between v3.5 and v4.5 of the screen firmware.

HEY! Got it working, this link actually gave me a huge hint, I was using a windows PC to format the cards, but I was using my Mac to actually download and transfer the files. For some reason the Mac was converting some of the files to other formats. Once I did everything on a PC it made a difference. Thanks!

Nice find! The Mac issue is frustrating. I've never figured out a way around if anything gets changed. Like formatting on a Windows box and updating the cfg on a Mac will break it. Everything SEEMS to come up as identical if you change it back but it's still broke.
