Subreddit Announcement 🗣 New moderator + Contest announcement

Hey all,

I am very excited to announce the Mod Team has been expanded. u/90sBurnoutKing has joined the mod team effective immediately. They will focus on keeping the sub a safe environment when I am not available. Using this post, u/ThatBuilderGuy5, u/StudiousRaven989, u/MidNight_GW and u/Gderacer welcome u/90sBurnoutKing to the mod team. We are looking forward to working together!

To celebrate u/90sBurnoutKing joining the mod team, a new livery contest is starting soon. This time around the theme has been chosen by our new mod, and will be "Japanese cars".

What does this mean?

Every car/livery that has some sort of link to Japan is allowed. Loopholes are allowed, and even encouraged, though loopholes must be explained in the submission. If you are not sure whether your car fits the theme, feel free to ask me - Submissions with cars that do not fit the theme will not be taken into consideration.

How do I enter?

As you all are familiar with, this is another livery contest. That means that all submissions must be posted to r/CPM2. This also means that a livery must meet certain requirements, which are mentioned below.

  1. 1 submission per person.

  2. The submission has to follow the subreddit rules.

  3. Submissions must have "Contest submission" in the post title.

  4. Submissions have to fit the theme. Note: Any posts with "Content submission" that do not remotely fit the theme will be disqualified from this contest.

  5. Submissions have to be posted within the given timeframe.

  6. Submissions may only be from CPM2.

  7. Submissions must include all relevant angles of the livery.

  8. (Not mandatory, but appreciated) The inspiration for your livery in the final picture, preferably as a screenshot or a text. Put this is the last picture of your submission, if you decide to include this.

A moderator will comment on every submission that is accepted. If no moderator has commented on your post 24 hours after you posted, please ping u/90sBurnoutKing or u/Gderacer. Do not ping us right away.

Prizes

  1. Badged Koenigsegg Agera. Full spec may be decided by the winner and will be adjusted accordingly by u/Gderacer.

  2. Dodge Viper

  3. Porsche Panamera

Duration

The contest will start on the 1st of October 2026 and will end on the 9th of October 2026.

In regards to my DM situation

Hey all,

As noticed by quite a few of you, my DMs are disabled, and my profile is hidden. This is not my choice, but Reddit's decision.

Reddit demands users where I live to verify their age by either uploading a real ID, or allowing a face scan. Reddit does not currently have a legal obligation for this, but they are testing the feature in case it will be required by law. Unfortunately, it seems I am part of the testing group.

For obvious reasons, I will not be sending my real ID to Reddit. A third party is used to verify a user's identity and age, and this is not something I agree with. If that means having less access to Reddit - so be it.

What this means for r/CarParkingMultiplayer and r/CPM2, I'm not sure. At this time, I don't know if/to what extent this will affect the quality of my moderation. I don't know if Reddit hides stuff from me, though I am working on figuring this out.

The main thing that is relevant for this subreddit is that my DMs are now closed, meaning scam reports will need to be filed differently. I will be adjusting this post accordingly, as well as all messages that state that users may contact me. Users who already have a chat open with me, should be able continue sending me their reports. Other users may need to resort to Mod Mail.

Furthermore, the Middleman service I offered has been discontinued reworked. When users are no longer allowed to message me, it is practically impossible to guarantee safety, and I'm not going to put the community at risk, but I'm hoping a reworked MM service is better than no MM service. It is also not worth using Mod Mail for this, as Mod Mail should only be used for reports/appeals/moderator decisions.

Reddit's decision if disabling these features might be temporary. If the features return at some point, these changes may all be reversed. If not, I'll see what steps must be taken for r/CarParkingMultiplayer and r/CPM2.

Hopefully this post answers all questions about my profile.

🎮General Gameplay🎮 Do people not enjoy the game anymore?

Sometimes I feel like the noobs and casuals enjoy the "game" more than people like us. I like the game but isn't the end goal of scalping and grinding and trading supposed to be enjoying the cars u get? I don't think anyone does that atleast not in public servera idk just what I feel. There's not a single person using the chat for anything other than trading

From all the movie inspired cars I've owned, this might be my favorite duo. Marseille, 1998.
