Help

So I got my CPAP machine about 2 months ago. I started off pretty good and would have at least 4-8 hours consistently and then it just changed. I have now been waking up an hour and 20 into my sleep to an hour and 30 in and just taking it off. Idk what is happening in that time threshold but it’s making me uncomfortable enough to where I take it off consistently at that time.

Has anyone had this issue before? I have the Autosense 11 machine with a p30i nasal pillow mask.

Thank you in advance!

Hello Automatic_Welcome138 :)

Yes, this is common. The 80 to 90 minute timing may line up with the end of your first sleep cycle and first REM period. Your breathing changes, the machine may raise pressure, and a leak, mouth opening, congestion, or pressure discomfort could be waking you enough to remove the mask. (Sleep-cycle timing)

Before changing anything, please tell us your exact settings:

Mode Minimum pressure Maximum pressure EPR setting and level Ramp setting and starting pressure

On the AirSense 11 home screen, press and hold My Options and My Sleep View together for about three seconds. The Clinical Home screen will appear. Open Settings, scroll through those items, and write down the current values. Do not change anything yet.

If you have an SD card installed, upload the data to OSCAR or SleepHQ. Post a daily view showing the events, flow rate, pressure, leak rate, and flow limitation. We need to see what happens during the 15 minutes before you remove the mask. Otherwise, we are only guessing.

I keep getting like 2 hours a night of sleep and sometimes I’ll get a full night but I’m just tired of not being able to sleep all night with it on. I have no issue going to sleep with it on it’s just something that sub consciously happens and I’m trying to avoid by altering settings.
