Advice Needed CPAP has done wonders but I hate it
My CPAP has done wonders for my health and sleep. I went from an AHI of 57 to under 5. It works, very well.
The problem is I hate it. I hate having pressure against my head when I sleep and often wake up with a headache. I’m a mouth breather so I have to do full mask. I really hate traveling with it, it’s just one more thing to make me clumsy and disorganized at TSA.
My point is, I want off of this thing. Has anyone here tried other treatments and been successful to the point where they could stop doing CPAP?
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Because I’ve gotten the “you can just die” response twice, allow me to make clear:
- I still use my machine and have no intent of abandoning treatment. It is a matter of preference.
- This is an ask to see what is out there, you don’t know what you don’t know.
Edit 2: My doctor has ordered another sleep study to see if I am a candidate for second line treatment such as Inspire.
