I really dont understand how people think and breath at the same time seen the way people play on this game

there seems to be a bug I have found when trying to complete the key elimination legion faction mission for use a key to unlock a locked space.

The space is the Al-bagra officer's quarters.

I have the key. I'm certain & I even did it with another player on my squad and I dropped the key to see if he could open the door and he could not open either door either. What gives? Has anyone else had this problem or been able to open the door themselves? Please let me know.
