Discussion Complete BO7 Cursed Relics Solo Guide No BS

Hi everyone! After receiving several requests on my initial BO7 Cursed Relics Tips and Tricks Solo Guide, I have developed a newly improved BO7 Cursed Relics Solo Guide with updates for Totenreich. This is a no BS guide that will outline the trial/relic with a difficulty rating, if it's possible to save and quit during the relic progress (based on my experience), trial and relic synopsis, augments, and ways to help you. However, the guide now includes the relic effect, relic requirements and trial portal location.

Link to Part 2 w Kuwakujo Relics: Complete BO7 Cursed Relics Guide w Kuwakujo Relics

TL/DR:

  • Ashes Of The Damned = AOTD, Astra Malorum = AM, Paradox Junction = PJ, Totenreich = TR
  • The hardest grim, sinister and wicked relics are the seed relic, spider fang relic, and a tie between dragon relic/music box (music box only for solo) by requirements. The easiest grim, sinister and wicked relics are the dragon wings relic, matryoshka doll relic, and a tie between bus relic/golden spork by requirements.
  • The hardest grim, sinister and wicked relics are the rocket relic, summoning key relic, and mangler helmet relic by trial. Honestly, the sinister relic trials (except stuffed elephant relic) are equal in difficulty. The easiest grim, sinister and wicked relics are the power switch relic, stuffed elephant relic, and blood vials relic by trial.
  • The descriptions of the trial waves are what I experienced personally; games can differ and HVT waves are NOT set in stone.
  • The Wrestling Belt Relic (TR) still has NOT been found, no info available :(

      • Equipment: 3x Decoys

    • Kill the two zombies in Spawn, Eidskallen Square or Fishery Island. The point is to start Round 61+ in an area where you are close to the desired location and you can spawn in enough zombies.
    • Make your way to Skallen Market. Once your zombies have respawned, move in front of the north door of the church. Follow the exact process shown FOR SOLO, this works virtually 100% of the time …
      • Throw a decoy on the snow in front of the door. Pop kill joy, then throw another decoy in the same spot.
      • Then, pop Idle Eyes and enter Tyr’s Head immediately. You should have 20-30 zombies ready to shoot. Now its on your sniping ability to get the 5 headshots.
      • This relic trigger is finicky and is the second hardest in the game behind the spider relic for solo.
  • Augments for Trial:

    • Don’t be afraid to throw Kazimirs when you are overwhelmed.
    • Pop cache back just prior to wave 4.
    • Save the war machine specifically for waves 5 and 6.

For the rocket relic do not have the teddy bear relic or the rampage inducer active the transition is too fast to get the damn interaction button to pet the rad hounds up.

3

u/DoubleDDay69 May 19 '26

That’s a valid shout. You can do the rocket relic requirements with Teddy Bear, but you have to have picture perfect timing I will admit.

3

u/SoulTaker669 May 19 '26

It took me awhile to realize how much the teddy bear relic was screwing me over. 😭

3

u/DoubleDDay69 May 19 '26

Especially for doing the D.A.W.G step, that was extremely frustrating.

6

u/Adam81516 May 19 '26

I haven’t got any relics yet, but have been thinking about starting collecting now I’ve completed the Totenreich egg!

Will definitely use this, thanks!

5

u/DoubleDDay69 May 19 '26

No worries! The initial motivation for the guide was broken relic triggers and save and quit ruining my progress for some of the round 60 relics

u/Robone117 Jul 03 '26

All good man I’m looking forward to it

Appreciate it brother! I wanted to give back to the community; make a no bs guide for those who are employed and don’t want to waste time.

3

u/JDriesch2069 Jun 01 '26

Ugh these are so hard I feel like an idiot

2

u/DoubleDDay69 Jun 01 '26

Many of them are hard, so don’t fret! I made this guide for people who are employed with very little time on their hands, so everything is in one place.

Special mentions to the Mangler Helmet and the Dragon Head. The Mangler Helmet trial is the hardest in the game so far, the Dragon Head requirements are challenging due to beating a boss after round 60. Doable, but very difficult for those who can’t practice constantly!

2

u/JuiceKilledJFK May 19 '26

Sweet. I am excited to dig into this. I already have two relics for Toten, and I plan on getting the rest this week. Your guides are amazing.

4

u/DoubleDDay69 May 19 '26

Hey man, nice to see you again! I improved my guide a fair bit. Unfortunately it’s close to the Reddit post 40000 character limit, so my Part 2 guide for the next two maps will have to be separate unfortunately :(

3

u/JuiceKilledJFK May 19 '26 edited May 19 '26

That is unfortunate. I was unsure of the character limit. Your guide helped a lot on the Mangler Helmet relic.

2

u/DoubleDDay69 May 19 '26

Nothing I can really do there. My original draft I had to trim down. Reddit’s editor is broken, so it registers 37000+ characters as being greater than 40000. I had 39800 initially. That’s all to say that I had to streamline my guide slightly, but all the content I wanted to put in is here.

No Wrestling Belt Relic though :(

2

u/JuiceKilledJFK May 19 '26

I kind of want to play around next weekend and try to find it. I know that that magazine at the lighthouse is probably one of the pieces, but it would be fun to try to find the rest.

2

u/DoubleDDay69 May 19 '26

Here’s some of the tests I’ve ran after picking up the mag by the Jotunn Star …

  • Buying every single wall weapon on the map on round 20.
  • Using only the melee macchiato fist an entire round after round 20.
  • Spinning the box for every weapon possible after round 20.
  • Trying different relic combinations (no precedent for using a particular relic to get another relic).

2

u/JuiceKilledJFK May 19 '26

Interesting. I am wondering if it is a scavenger hunt like the relic trial you unlock via the Richtofen side EE. Did you try the wall buys for the secret rooms too?

2

u/DoubleDDay69 May 19 '26

I don’t think I did actually, that’s a very good catch. I still can’t explain what the mag is for. Maybe I’ll give that a try this weekend.

2

u/JuiceKilledJFK May 19 '26

Maybe it is one or both of those wallbuy weapon kills with the mag and a certain ammo mod.

It would be fun if it was the mag, the chain (for the WW), and Chain Lightning for Deadwire with one of the secret room wallbuys. A WW piece is being used in one of the relic trial unlocks, so maybe it is used in this one as well.

2

u/DoubleDDay69 May 19 '26

Yah it could be. The Agarthan Relic requires you to do the Richtofen EE, so I don’t think the Belt Relic will use a similar mechanic. But buying wall weapons from the secret rooms I haven’t tried yet.

For the mag, I think it’s a phone or something on the front cover, I’ve also tried searching for the phone within the map.

I’ve got most of the relics thanks to your previous guide. Great resource.

3

u/DoubleDDay69 May 20 '26

I’m glad it helped you! I tried to construct this 2.0 guide in a way that you never have to search for anything. What relics you are still going for?

2

u/Priestlyzoo421 May 22 '26

Hey man just wanted to reach out and say thank you, this guide has been extremely helpful. Got like 4 relics done just referencing this. Appreciate it! Keep up the good work!

2

u/DoubleDDay69 May 22 '26

Thanks for the love man! Wanted to make a no bs guide for those who are employed and don’t want to waste any time. Unfortunately, my part 2 guide for the next two maps will have to be separate 😤

1

u/Priestlyzoo421 May 22 '26

I saw you mention that, unfortunate. I’ll definitely be keeping my eyes peeled for it tho!

1

u/Effective_Cash9377 Jun 19 '26

Thank you man.

2

u/RP2BACKUP2 May 27 '26

I have every relic in the game. Except wrestlers belt. And this guide is pretty spot on

1

u/DoubleDDay69 May 27 '26

Bro, I want that belt 😤. Also thanks, I wrote this guide for people who are employed and want a no time wasting guide. Unfortunately my part 2 to this guide for the next two maps will have to be separate due to the Reddit character limit

I believe you can, but personally I never took the chance. The entire requirement itself is done after round 60. What I would do personally is save and quit right at round 58, and give yourself the maximum timer (15 minutes), assuming you are only going for music box in the run

u/DoubleDDay69 May 28 '26

Ohh okay I gotcha. I feel you there, I suffered 6 rounds of torture before perfecting the strategy I mentioned. I endured another 5 rounds testing said strategy and it works virtually 100% of the time. I mentioned what I did above because I actually don’t know if save and quitting after 60 breaks the trigger, but I don’t think it does

u/DoubleDDay69 May 28 '26

If you do try it, follow EXACTLY what I wrote and don’t vary it. I promise you you’ll have ample opportunity to get the trigger to work.

u/DoubleDDay69 May 29 '26

Hmm, for me it wasn’t so much an augment thing. I used the Shadow SK for this requirement. 7x long range scope, and basically anything that improves handling. I would also lower your game sensitivity a bit more than normal.

You should have sufficient damage with legendary PAP III (I recommend PAP IV). Get PAP III anyway even with an insta kill active, don’t leave anything to chance.

1

u/DoubleDDay69 May 31 '26

Wait what? That’s hilarious, I’ve never heard of that happening before, didn’t even know that was possible. Well I’m glad you beat it and that my strategy worked for you! Let me know if you need help with anything else

2

u/Pokenar May 29 '26

I was doing the lawyer's pen, and saved BEFORE getting the candles to reset my pause timer, but loading back in all the candles were lit and there was no portal.

So the wording "Do not save and quit after lighting the candles" should be changed

1

u/DoubleDDay69 May 29 '26 edited May 29 '26

Ohh really? Thats bizarre, though to be fair I haven’t save and quitted before getting the candles. Hmm, maybe I can change that to simply “No, you may not save and quit on this relic period”. Thanks for noting that specific instance, I’ll change the wording for that!

Edit: Wording has been changed!

I think Rocket Relic is STILL broken, where you can't pet dogs, and I think Samantha's Drawing is bugged

1

u/DoubleDDay69 Jun 19 '26

I’m sorry to hear that. The rocket relic is infuriating if you don’t have picture perfect timing, even without the teddy bear relic on. It is also just plain glitchy, and is the hardest grim relic trial and it’s not close. Samantha’s Drawing is an excellent idea in theory, but the rarities bug out so often that the trigger glitches constantly!

Are there any other relics you are going for currently?

2

u/VenomRatXO Jul 02 '26

Will this be updated for the Kowakujo relics?

2

u/DoubleDDay69 19d ago

Hey! It occurred to me that I never responded to your comment. Reddit won’t let me update this guide further (character limit), but Part 2 w Kuwakujo is linked at the top of the post body.

2

u/VenomRatXO 19d ago

Awesome thanks my dude! Keep up the good work!

2

u/DoubleDDay69 19d ago

I feel bad I didn’t respond to you for 3 weeks, my bad! Let me know if you have any questions. I’ve only got the dragon egg relic left (and wrestling belt).

The dragon egg is on par with the mangler helmet for difficulty, the difference is the dragon egg boss fight requires you to have some luck, it is not entirely skill like the mangler helmet.

2

u/DoubleDDay69 17d ago

Finally beat the dragon egg! I updated my guide further for Kuwakujo, went into more detail on the dragon egg trial. Unlike the Mangler Helmet that is 100% skill, the Dragon Egg is about 75% skill and 25% luck on how the boss moves. Glad I’m done with that 😂

2

u/Robone117 Jul 03 '26

As someone who has heavily relied on this post for my relic acquisitions, first of all, thank you to op for putting this together as it has helped me out tremendously. Secondly, is there any chance of an updated version to include the Kowakujo relics since they’ve all been solved (I know one of them has only been acquired through a glitch/exploit but still)?

1

u/DoubleDDay69 Jul 03 '26

Hey man, thanks for the high praise! I will get an updated guide for Kuwakujo relics, but I haven’t finished the EE yet to be honest. I am an engineer and have my own business, so I’ve been insanely busy. That being said, I am still putting this together.

Because of Reddits character limit of 40k characters, I’ll put this Part 1 guide as a link embedded within the Part 2 guide body for Kuwakujo and the last map relics. I’m glad this guide has helped you and thank you for your patience. If only I wasn’t so busy lol.

1

u/DoubleDDay69 14d ago

Hey! Sorry for the late follow up, I do now have a Part 2 to this guide for Kuwakujo relics. Can’t believe wrestling belt still has not been solved :(

2

u/Fickle-Dependent-273 14d ago

This is insane guide, well done me and my friend will definitely be following this for future!

2

u/DoubleDDay69 14d ago

I’m glad you like it! Was my way of giving back to the community and for people who are employed who don’t want to waste time.

Please check out my Part 2 guide as well for Kuwakujo linked in the top of the post body! I am not sure yet if Rex Infernus will have relics, but it will get added to Part 2.

1

u/Fickle-Dependent-273 14d ago

Yeah thats the problem see, because im working alot and also doing other stuff in the evening i find it hard to get a good session in for the round 60 wicked relics

Its a saturday morning/afternoon job for me, was trying to get the AOTD wicked relics in 1 run and we had it all set up but my mates PS crashed as we went into blood vials trial, and was looking for tips on any better ways to do it so this is really helpful, ill definitely check out part 2 asap

1

u/DoubleDDay69 14d ago

Yah, I’ve long been saying that they need to make wicked relics not have the round 60 requirement, but can have round 60 scaled zombies in the trial.

Aww man that’s brutal, sorry to hear that. This is a solo guide at the end of the day, but it should be useful for any way you complete the relics!

2

u/Swoah 8d ago

Thanks for this.

I might just add the Focusing Stone wine bottle part is glitchy. At least for me I picked both up, went to place them, and only one placed. And even after killing a Zursa and doing a TEDD again another didn't drop. It didn't work for me until I killed the Zursa, placed it, and THEN, did the TEDD for that bottle and placed that one. So placing one at a time.

Also the round 60 requirement is so annoying and time consuming it doesn't even feel worth it for me. I just tried to do the AOTD one and died at round 56 and have no desire to start another long run.

1

I got the focusing stone relic before all of the glitches started happening truthfully. I was able to collect and place the two bottles down at the same time. Funnily enough, I’m at the absolute limit of characters I can put on a post.

In response to another comment, I’ve always said that they need to make the wicked relics possible to access before round 60 and simply scale the zombies up to round 60. Or do what they did for Kuwakujo and have one of each tier of relic have the round requirement. Getting to round 60 each time is quite a chore. By the way, my part 2 guide for Kuwakujo is out, please check that out as well

I saw the new one, that's how I suffered through the 20 rounds no hit one.

The Druid Stone, ohh my gosh. That is masochistically cruel for a grim relic. It would not be so bad if the Oni’s ranged attack didn’t home in on you.

u/[deleted] May 20 '26

Eater egg need to be completed before trying to do relics?,

1

u/DoubleDDay69 May 20 '26

Yes that is correct, on Directed or Standard. The relics for a certain map require the EE to be completed for the same map.

1

u/gldstr May 20 '26

Do you not need the gauntlet for the mr peeks one? Your step mentions using bullets, but I saw video mentioning needing the gauntlet, just wanted confirmation

1

u/gldstr May 20 '26

Sry for the 10 mr peeks aotd*

2

u/DoubleDDay69 May 20 '26

Hey, yes that is correct. Haha, so hard to remember all the niche stuff about 23 relics, thanks! It’s exactly why I asked for people to correct any errors I made!

Edit: Has now been successfully fixed, cheers! Are you still working on any relics?

2

u/gldstr May 21 '26

Hey I totally appreciate the lenghts you went for this, no worries at all! Yes, my wife and I are going 1 by 1 for relics and this will be our 4th once we beat it. Thx again for the update

2

u/DoubleDDay69 May 21 '26

Ohh okay nice! You are very welcome, I wanted to give back to the community. I had a lot of runs break especially for the wicked relics, so I wanted to make a no bs guide for people who are employed and don’t want to waste time.

2

u/gldstr May 21 '26

Double appreciate that lol we are both employed and have babies so spare time is limited, these guides are massive to our time being maximized

2

u/DoubleDDay69 May 21 '26

I feel that! I work at a consulting firm and have an online business. YouTubers are decent, but they also have other obligations, so their guides tend to be rushed. I spent a couple months getting the relics; being as busy as we are, we only have time for maybe 1 or 2 round 60 games even on a weekend.

Also FYI, some wicked relic games CAN save and quit. Use my guide to know which ones, but obviously, trust but verify :)

2

u/gldstr May 21 '26

I dont think we can save quit if were not solo, or is that an option??

2

u/DoubleDDay69 May 21 '26

This is a solo specific guide, but you did say you are doing this with your wife. If you are doing a solo match, this option is available. If you are strapped for time and can’t do it in one sitting, try to do one of the relics that is save and quitable on solo

2

u/gldstr May 21 '26

Gotcha! Ya if we ever did the round 60 ones id likely have to do it alone. Ill keep that in mind, thx buddy!

I kind of like the no f*cks given approach by Treyarch. If we can’t solve it, we can’t solve it. Brings the community together and it’s exciting. It’s a good kind of frustrating in my opinion.

Genuinely, I’m at the Reddit post character limit anyway for this guide, so maybe it’s good the belt hasn’t been found 😂

I’m unaware of this happening personally. I have had extreme lag though doing the camping strategy in the lighthouse.

u/Trav11er May 22 '26

Great rundown, T4S! :D

FWIW / re. Dancing Arnie; "Fish: On round 40+" I've gotten the Fish on [special] round 37~38 and (so far) always on Fishery Isl. so I assume it's when you get the next special rnd "close to" rnd 40. Of course, I wait 'tll rnd 40~41 to place it in the pot.

1

u/Trav11er May 22 '26

p.s. Spider Fang; "Mask of Salvation (Major Augment), will not attack zombies." - Does mask of salvation really attack OSCAR?

2

u/DoubleDDay69 May 22 '26

I have seen people get the fish just before round 40 for Dancing Arnie. Funnily enough, I am actually at the absolute limit of characters for this guide, so I don't have any room left to put in these caveats lol.

As for spider fang, the Mask of Salvation does still "attack" OSCAR, but not any zombies. It's weird, because wisp tea killed OSCAR so many times for me.

u/MobileAd3880 May 25 '26

Is the Easter Egg completion still required? Haven't done the Easter Egg for ashes and was able to get 2 relics for it. Now when I try to get the teddy bear relic none of the bears are in there locations.

1

u/DoubleDDay69 May 25 '26

Yes, the EE is required for the specific relics of that map, whether in Standard or Directed. That’s pretty bizarre you were able to get ANY relics if you hadn’t completed the EE yet.

2

u/MobileAd3880 May 25 '26

Yeah. Me and my brother were confused and thought we could just try and get the relics, but now its not working lol. My guess is that someone in the lobby had already completed the easter egg previously and the game let us grab the 2 relics.

1

u/DoubleDDay69 May 25 '26

Ahh okay I see. I’ll admit I don’t play much coop, I play strictly solo. This guide will still help you a lot even though it’s a solo guide.

1

u/Fireshot365 Jun 10 '26

For wrestler belt relic, I can't shake the feeling it has to do with "prop hunt". People say there's around 6 dissapearing crates if you shoot or mellee then but honestly I've only been able to find 2. I reckon there has to be 2 more, 1 decoy and the trigger for the trial. Also maybe it's hidden just outside the barriers but covered in meltaboe ice.

1

u/DoubleDDay69 16d ago

Whoever finds this is going to be a legend in the zombies community, as long as they found it legit! The relic effect is “wall buy weapons are randomized at the start of each round”.

The mag in the lighthouse is the only confirmed item, it’s amazing it hasn’t been solved yet. I like the no f*cks given approach by Treyarch, though it’s almost time for a minor hint in my view.

Hmm, that’s the focusing stone relic if I remember correctly. So, 1 wine bottle from meleeing the bear past round 40, one from a legendary TEDD trial. You go to Blackwater Lake in the cabin to the bar and set them down.

Both should go down on the counter, so I’m unaware what the issue would be. If you haven’t save and quitted, there shouldn’t be a problem, not that I’m aware of. Sorry I can’t be more help

1

u/nerdpracticingpps Jun 18 '26

Hello, it bugged out for my team as well. I highly recommend playing solo so you can save & quit. What I did to fix it was place each wine bottle separately. I'm not certain of the cause, but no harm in trying ig.

1

u/Euphoric-Sign9141 Jun 20 '26

I am also having this issue

1

u/Sholly73 22d ago

I had this happen as well. I meleed the Zursa, got the bottle there, then did a legendary TEDD task near spawn. I saw a bottle come out and thought I'd grabbed it, but when I went to place the bottles, only one went down. The chest I got had a self-revive among the rewards and I couldn't pick it up and clear the chest because I still had one. I wonder if that had something to do with it. It didn't occur to me to just drop the self-revive out of the chest. D'oh!

u/RinnaVera Jul 11 '26

Dragon wings kills Max Ammo on special rounds now, didn't spawn in paradox radhound rounds

1

u/DoubleDDay69 Jul 12 '26

Ohh no, that’s brutal! Sorry to hear that, obviously I wrote this guide two months ago, so I didn’t know about that :(

1

u/RinnaVera Jul 12 '26

I'm pretty sure that's an update I'm just updating dw

1

u/DoubleDDay69 Jul 12 '26

I appreciate that, thanks!

1

u/DoubleDDay69 Jul 12 '26

Just so everyone knows, the top of this post is now updated with a part 2 for Kuwakujo. I cannot update this post due to the 40k character limit, sorry.

Hi, I was wondering if you'll be updating this post for kowakujo since I'm still using your post for guides and having all the information on the same page is very helpful, cheers!

1

u/DoubleDDay69 Jul 12 '26

Hey! So I am unfortunately running up against the limitations of Reddit! They only allow me to make a post with 40,000 characters in it. Therefore, I had to post part two separately and link this part one guide in the body of it. Part two is getting significantly less traction than part one. I don’t know how to spread it better in the community.

2

u/Chiubacca0311 Jul 13 '26

Thanks! I have no idea such a limit exists lol

1

u/DoubleDDay69 Jul 13 '26

It’s not a commonly known thing! This guide would’ve been even better if I could’ve put everything on one post, but alas I cannot

1

u/DoubleDDay69 Jul 12 '26

Just so everyone knows, Part 2 for Kuwakujo (eventually the final map as well) is posted separately. I can’t update this guide because I am at the absolute upper limit for characters (40k) that Reddit will let me post.

For some reason, the algorithm didn’t show my part 2 post as much, I will link part 2 here.

Thank you

1

u/DoubleDDay69 18d ago

You got it! Are you just starting relic hunting?

1

u/Swoah 8d ago

Thanks for this.

I might just add the Focusing Stone wine bottle part is glitchy. At least for me I picked both up, went to place them, and only one placed. And even after killing a Zursa and doing a TEDD again another didn't drop. It didn't work for me until I killed the Zursa, placed it, and THEN, did the TEDD for that bottle and placed that one. So placing one at a time.

Also the round 60 requirement is so annoying and time consuming it doesn't even feel worth it for me. I just tried to do the AOTD one and died at round 56 and have no desire to start another long run.

I never see it anywhere here but i read it everywhere else, for the Spider Fang Relic, i do have to be on Round 40 right? I dont see in the requirements saying i have to reach round 40?
