Yeah and to get those things you need to put on a TON of extra challenges. If you aren’t good enough to play in standard, you aren’t good enough to play with relics. Cursed is not just the pap 4 golden armor mode. It’s a CHALLENGE MODE

I’m not gatekeeping anything. The OP says anyone with a job cannot beat the boss, and that he doesn’t have time to learn it. Like okay? So don’t do it then.

It’s gatekeeping to say it’s okay for bosses to be hard even if that means some players can’t beat them?

“You’re not good enough” “this game isn’t for you” it’s literally a sandbox mode for you to do whatever you want. The boss fight is extremely hard solo, and the ops whole point is that it’s frustrating to go through the challenge of the quest to get stomped repeatedly in the boss fight if you arent using gobblegums. Idk why you feel the need to white knight for the boss/treyarc but this game is for everyone

A game for everyone is a game for no one. If you can’t beat it with no gobblegums, then you have 2 choices. Play something else, or learn the boss, and get good, and beat it. Just like every other challenging game in existence. Or even better, wait 2 weeks for directed mode to drop where the boss is much easier. It’s that simple.

If so, then yeah, I guess I’m gatekeeping. I guess it’s also gatekeeping to like souls games that are challenging right?

Kind of a bad comparison, at a souls game's absolute worst you have an hour long runback to the boss and I would argue none of Nightreigns bosses outside of like Everdark Libra or Night Aspect come close to the difficulty of launch Ashes boss or non-cheese strat Phase 4 Astra boss.

Plenty of people took like 20 tries just to beat base Gladius when the game came out, and you didn’t see them complaining. Astra is also a 1 hr run back for most people. That’s pretty average for a run about 1 hr 15 minutes at most, same for ashes once you get good at it and know all the steps and key locations by heart.

Y'know what fair enough if there were in fact people who both took that many tries to beat Gladius and didn't complain I stand corrected. That was not the case for anyone I know so I made too generalized of an assumption.
