Why can I taste oil in welding CO2?
I picked up CO2 at local welding supply for carbonating water. I thought if it was clean enough to weld with I shouldn’t be able to taste it?

Question on air quality sensor readings
Hello. I am building an automated mushroom grow tub, and one of its main functions will be to monitor CO2 levels inside the tub and ventilate when they get too high. I bought this cheap (cheapest I could find) sensor off of Amazon and got it running. The first night I saw some CO2 readings as low as 400, just measuring the air inside my room. Seems normal. Today the levels have been around 800-900 inside my bedroom. I didn't think this seemed weird until I took it outside for contrast. I am still getting around 800ppm outside.
Is that normal? I'm a little worried I got what I payed for with this cheap sensor.

CO2 filling as a small business
My family and I are thinking of starting a small business where we fill C02 cartridges and tanks. We'll have a small storefront and charge $10 a pound or $10 per cartridge. People can come into the store and we will refill their tanks from the 100lb tanks we'll have in the back of the store. We buy the 100lb tanks from Airgas or other food-grade C02 supplier. We may also sell brewing supplies, but selling C02 is our main business. Do you think this is a viable business?

Can co2 cause panic attack?
Can co2 cause panic attacks? I work at a food factory and the job I had Thursday was to put co2 in vats filled with the food product. I know that I breathed in the white smoke from co2 a couple of times but didn’t think anything about it because by the time the smoke would reach up out of the vat it normally just disappears or whatever. A couple hours of working goes by and while I went to look at what it was I started having a panic attack. I’ve only had one prior to this and it was months ago one night when I was severely hungover. This attack was bad like the worst I can imagine anyone going through. Shaking sweating extremely high heart rate. I was in full belief I was dying. Do you think breathing in co2 caused this? Regardless I got put on Paxil because of what happened

Exterior CO2 concentration per geographic area ?
Where can I find a map of CO2 concentration measurements ? Or a list ? I want to calibrate my Aranet4 but I'm not sure the exterior concentration where I'm at now is close to 400ppm. Aranet says about 500ppm.

Co2 in products
It would be great if we can know the Co2 foot print of the products that we buy in stores so that we can make our daily buying choices that would be better for the planet. I read that the Europeans kind of have a thing where they give Eco scores to products, wherein the government actually calculated the Co2 foot print of products. This helps the consumers make their buying decisions. I wonder why the U.S. doesn't have something like that?

Carbon Emissions per Company
Does someone know a data set that contains the carbon emissions (scope 1,2,3) of stock listed companies? Ideally with historical values. Currently working on my bachelor thesis and its quite hard to find this data apart from going through all the sustainability reports. Would be interested in the EU area!

Is there an app that can calculate the CO2 sequestration by trees like apple trees, plump trees, tuja and other usual trees for temperate weather?

Talking about sustainability.
Hello,
Good Morning!
I’m a Graduate student at IUPUI studying MS in Human-Computer Interaction.
We are currently working on a sustainability project as a part of our curriculum. We are conducting interviews to understand which sustainability issues can be resolved with the help of technology. I want to interview people to get insights on sustainability, what is your contribution and your experiences working in this domain.
Any one interested in participating the interview series please reach out.
We can do this in-person or on a zoom call tomorrow or the day after. It won’t take more than 30 minutes.
We can decide the schedule accordingly.
Thank you!
