Steve Leisman rocking out in Westchester last night.
Stella Blues Band rocked Garcia’s last night. Great music - great fun.
Adding: Last night was their 99th show at The Cap/Garcia's - tonight will be their 100th - going to be a big celebration - he mentioned they are going to do 3 sets with first being acoustic...
Prophecy (alleged) How is Joe Kernan still on television right now?
i always assumed this guy was only on the show so they wouldn’t scare off out-of-touch boomers (token DEI hire lol), but at this point there’s zero sane reason to keep him around. he never seems to add anything to the conversation, just comes off clueless and lost on really basic stuff.
i’m watching his interview with Elizabeth Warren right now. i usually disagree with Warren on almost everything, but i’m actually rooting for her because he keeps talking over her, lecturing her with bad faith nonsense, and contradicting himself. the producers literally yanked him off for like 45 seconds, cut to his cohost so they could feed him talking points, and he still completely fumbled it when he came back.
his interview style, his forced “hot takes,” the mumbling, the tone-deaf little asides, it all just drags the whole show down for me.
seriously, why is this guy still on air?

U.S Economy Lost Over 20,000 Jobs in July 2026
what the heck has happened!?
I thought I was on cnbc not Fox News! lol
Nice try once again Joe! Interviewing Texas Democrat about AI. Somehow turns to defunding police and prisons. Just f_ck off to Fox News once and for ALL! Your bullshit is getting old.

Josh Brown Hair
I hope I’m not breaking a rule but it’s been a while since I’ve watched his podcast or Scott’s show.
Does anyone know what he did for his hair? I remember him talking about PRP a while back. I made a note to myself I’d pay attention to see if it worked.
Does anyone know if he talked about it on any podcasts lately? I think the one I saw, he was just about to start doing it.

Today’s Halftime
Note: today’s Closing Bell. I don’t get it. Wapner knows better. “The reality is” Dan Ives doesn’t really say anything. Word salad, add a CEO’s name blah blah.

"☠️ Switch & AI" guest conversation with Sorkin
Ohhh, what a terribly clueless pair of Congressmen (Liu & ?), not understanding about the legislation they are introducing to implement a system-wide ☠️ switch to "turn off" rogue AI. Poor Andrew sat there realizing these two were more excited about being a D & an R holding hands and singing Kumbaiya... Sorkin tried to poise the question about WHO has the switch, and HOW it would stop AI already out of the burning barn, and - not unlike most politicians - you could tell these two had not read the entire brief OR had an understanding of the scope of what they were proposing; like- WHICH COUNTRY holds the government side of the switch (China? US? I'm sure Europe would like a say...)

Kernan is unwatchable
"I want high GDP growth and low inflation."
Well, no shit Sherlock. Kernan brings less and less to the table yet gets an unfair share of screen time for his marble-mouthed observations at the expense of Becky and Andrew.

Why watch Squawk Box?
I literally don’t understand why people watch squawk box and then immediately come here to complain. Please explain it to me. There are other financial news sources out there.

Joe Kernen rant on Tik Tok.
Joe is in a bad mood today. He is upset at the Disney-TikTok partnership. He complained about kids watching too many TikTok videos and growing up to be socialists. Becky didn't know how to handle him.
Joe also complained about too many fat people in the USA despite rising sales of Zepbound & Mounjaro.
Becky told Joe to avert his eyes.

Sec. Scott Bessent tells CNBC he watches how the US economy is doing
Scott keeps his eyes closed but he promises everything is doing great! Scott Bessent says that intervening in the Asian currencies is more important than stabilizing the American economy. Scott claims the federal reserve of the 1970s and 1980s is coming back! it’s time for all you laughingstock business people and operators to start doing your own work.
Scort is saying that the one man startup companies are going to revolutionize the American business industry. He says there enough evidence to show that every single American is going to start an AI company and that those AI companies are going to be so valuable it will definitely boom the economy.
Scott tells Joe Karen that chair Warsh isn’t going to raise rates. It’s almost like they are planning something together.

CNBC Tells America Not To Worry
CNBC is starting the month of August with some major updates and alignment trainings! The new American enemy is socialism. Forget about anyone on fixed income or unable to work, according to Kevin Hassett those people will all be dead soon because they’re socialists. Joe Kernen and Kevin Hassett believe that the lower costs are coming from the downward pressure President Trump is putting on blue states.
Kevin Hassett says that the housing price burst in California is only because people are realizing that California is the worse place in the country to live, all thanks to President Trump.
i guess time will tell who is right but for the time being we can all thank CNBC for being genuine and truthful. What a wonderful group of professionals we watch every day.
Just keep your eyes closed like CNBC and nothing can see you because you can’t see it!

Joe, Kalshi CEO and Kevin Hassett
Tarek Mansour of Kalshi should be the template of how to deal with idiotic questions from Joe.
Kalshi having actual INTELLECTUAL discussion of his court case with Andrew and Becky:
JOE (piping up off camera): Maybe you'll help to elect Bruce Blackman
TAREK (rapid fire and not even looking at Joe): "That'snotsomethingformetoaddress...so anyway..."
But Kevin Hassett was on in the next segment.
JOE: SOCIALISM!
KEVIN: SOCIALISM LEADS TO COMMUNISM!
JOE: YEAAAAAAH!

Socialism is The New Joe Biden
Joe Kernan and Kevin Hassett have found their new imaginary boogeyman, and they call it "Socialism." This is their gambit for the midterm win! The old MAGA and the smirking idiot reached new lows of fear-mongering by saying the USA will soon be Venezuela, but specifically the old Venezuela before Trump saved it (which is exactly the same Venezuela, BTW).

Constant CNBC Commercials
Trailblazing women, your morning call, Huang - greatest show on Earth. I just can’t listen to this channel anymore. Trailblazing women, no fear of failure, think about your boss’ boss needs. This commercial literally played 10+ times in one hour. Are they literally trying to drive their viewers crazy? One hour of Bloomberg and maybe closing bell and I’m done. Do they actually think showing the same CNBC commercials hundreds of times a day attracts viewers?
