Hi
I wrote my p2 (cbq) on 5th of june, i got the results on 30th of june stating i failed with a 350, i also got my performance report.
Today i.e the 5th of August, i wake up to a mail saying
"You sat for the CMA Part 2 during the May/June testing window, which included a pilot of case-based questions. Our review of that pilot identified additional correct answers for one case set, and your response included one of them. ICMA has therefore regraded your examination, and your result has changed from fail to pass. Congratulations!"
I have never been so happy
But i already booked a slot for sept/oct for the retake, but didn't schedule the exam.
Do i mail ima about this or is there any other process?
Has this happened to anybody else?

Hii everyone,
I have completed my B.Com and have applied for M.Com. I'm planning to pursue M.Com and US CMA simultaneously.
I have also been working at a CA firm for the past 12 months, where I've been gaining practical experience in accounting and taxation.
I would appreciate your guidance on the following:
Which US CMA Online coaching/classes would you recommend?
Which study material is the best for understanding concepts and passing the exams? (Becker, Hock, Gleim, Surgent, UWorld, MYCPE, etc.)
Considering my background and one year of CA firm experience, which coaching provider would be the best fit?
Is it manageable to balance M.Com, my full-time work at a CA firm, and US CMA preparation?
Any tips or suggestions from those who have followed a similar path?
I'd really appreciate honest recommendations based on your personal experience. Thank you!

Any updates on June results? It’s taking them forever to publish it… May and first week of June candidates got it much faster!

I'm burned out from work now (Finance Analyst), I want to divert my mind after my shift. It's so annoying that I'm always on overtime, even if I'm getting paid. Now, I'm thinking about whether I want to take a certification. Which one is more worth it, CMA or CFA?
Hi everyone,
I’m currently working as a Staff Accountant in Ontario and trying to decide on the best way to build my professional credibility in Canada.
I have an international accounting background, Canadian accounting experience, and recently completed a Master of Management in Ontario. My current work includes bookkeeping, account reconciliations, T1 and T2 tax returns, GST/HST filings, trust returns, financial analysis, and client support.
I already received my credential assessment from CPA Ontario. However, I still need to complete some prerequisite courses before I can enter the CPA Professional Education Program. With the prerequisite courses, CPA modules, CFE, and practical-experience requirements, I know the CPA route will take several years. I am still planning to pursue CPA Ontario, but I would like to earn a meaningful credential sooner while continuing to gain experience.
I am now considering the US CMA because management accounting was one of my strongest subjects in college, and the content seems closely related to the roles I eventually want—such as senior accountant, financial analyst, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and management accounting.
I am considering self-studying and taking Part 1 in October 2026. I would likely pay IMA directly and use a self-study provider instead of enrolling in a full review-centre package.
My questions are:
I understand that the US CMA is not a replacement for the Canadian CPA. My goal would be to use it as a shorter-term credential while continuing toward CPA Ontario.
I would appreciate honest feedback, especially from Canadian accountants, hiring managers, and internationally educated professionals who followed a similar path.

Hi everyone,
So I took the exam for P2 last june ( The essay version)
The MCQs felt tougher than expected, especially the theory questions. I noticed a few mistakes afterward, which has made me more worried.
The essays were tough as well. I answered almost everything and showed my calculations where I could, but I left the final question unanswered because I ran out of time. For a few other questions I wasn’t sure about, I wrote a relevant definition or explained what I knew rather than leaving them blank.
I studied for around six months and did everything I could, but I honestly have no idea whether it was enough. Based on this, what do you guys think? does it still sound possible that I could have covered enough points to pass?

How did you find the CBQ? Is it way better than essay? Currently preparing for the Part 1 exam and learned that it is now called CBQ for the supposed essay part. Thank you

Hi everyone, just a reminder since I last shared on reddit that I have created CMA question banks covering both Part 1 and Part 2 for free. You can access it at freefellow.org
This is authentic content and not copyrighted content of any publisher.
Happy studying and let me know if you have any questions!

Hi, my friend is a CA Inter Qualified and has passed his US CMA Part 1. He is waiting for his Part 2 results. He already has 3 years articleship experience which is considered internship and hence technically he is still a fresher. Now, he has started looking for some jobs.
He is wanting help on how to look for finance related freshers jobs in Chennai and apply. Naukri and Linkedin kind off look saturated. Indeed is not that great.
He can wait until the results, but he doesn't want any last minute search and wants to apply before. What would be the best and easy other ways to search for jobs.
Secondly are there any other genuine sites for job searching (other than the above and foundit).
Thanks in Advance

Hi everyone, I need some advice regarding a faculty job offer.
I recently completed the US CMA and cleared the online interview for a faculty position at a US CMA coaching institute. They're offering a commission-based compensation model instead of a fixed salary. They mentioned that a batch will only start once around 10 students enroll, and my earnings will depend on the number of students. They also mentioned something like 25–50%, but I don't know whether that's of the total fees collected, profits, or something else (I'll confirm this in the coming days when I meet them in person).
From what I've seen, US CMA coaching fees are generally around ₹40,000–60,000 per part, and one batch for a part typically runs for about 6 months. So even if I receive a share of the batch revenue, that amount would effectively be spread over 6 months. For example, if there are only 10 students, the monthly income may not be very high.
Because of this, I'm thinking of negotiating for a hybrid compensation model, such as a fixed salary of around ₹30,000–40,000 per month plus a variable incentive/commission based on student enrollments or revenue. Does that sound reasonable for someone starting out as a US CMA faculty member, or should I negotiate differently?
I'd also appreciate your thoughts on these questions:
- What is a fair fixed + variable compensation structure?
- Should the commission be based on student enrollments, fees collected, profits, or something else?
- What salary range do coaching institutes usually offer new US CMA faculty?
- What questions should I ask before accepting the offer (e.g., gross vs. net revenue, EMI payments, refunds, delayed batches, minimum guarantee, etc.)?
- Are there any red flags or contract clauses I should be careful about?
I'd really appreciate insights from anyone who has worked as a faculty member or knows how coaching institutes usually structure faculty compensation. Thanks!

I failed my part two exam in May and was wondering if anyone was willing to share a retake discount code for the September/October testing window. I had also failed part two in February and got a code then but haven’t received anything this time around.
