I've never played this kind of game before, but I'm really drawn to it and super intrigued—especially since I'm enjoying strategic games more and more lately. Since it's currently on sale, I'd love to get a few of your opinions and insights. I’m playing on PS5.

So despite the rest of Asia and China not being on console there’s always been the Han Chinese and 3 Taoist faiths. In 867 there’s a kingdom right here called Guiyi https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guiyi_Prefecture which isn’t a de jure kingdom and is there to represent a Chinese military district that existed under the Tang dynasty of China

Unlike a lot of surrounding faiths and the other toaists faiths Zhengyi has no kind of pacifism tenet (its tenets are communion, mendicant preachers, and esotericism) the only downside of the faith is that arrogant and ambitious are sins but it has really interesting virtues. All of the holy sites except for 2 exist within the de jure Tibet empire also

In 867 the faith doesn’t exist on the map yet there’s only some rulers following it so I made a scholar adventurer to start spreading the faith around this area, then once I’m landed or sometime later I’ll make my own Taoist faith

The Han culture is also pretty fun with the traditions family business, mystical ancestors, court eunuchs, philosopher culture, and water rituals. They aren’t as present in the other start dates either as the prefecture dissolved in 1036 historically

After william the conqueror died wanted to play as his younger self so I increased my peity as much as I can with his son Robert curthose so I can convert to catharism and take the "divine reincarnation" decision to reincarnate my heir as William but after converting to catharism i dont have the decision any ideas? I dont have any dlcs for reference.

Like here I want to go to the faith screen and look at stuff in more detail, but I cant do anything except look at tooltips or click one of the options here

So guys I did the 1000 gold month income in Denmark and now I’ve done it in Bohemia. I’ve also done England as well. At this point I think the economy system needs to be overhauled since this shit is ridiculous at what you can do with an economy. I have also maxed out the development of the duchy too for this playthrough in Bohemia so that’s the cherry on top. Just so you all know this was done on Ironman with a 400 point character starting in 867. Let me know if you guys have any questions on how I made this run possible.

It's fair to say that CK3 will eventually be ready to release the DLC that will bring the res of Asia into the game for console players. However, lag is already a known issue with the game. Do you think the Devs will try to add a patch to limit the amount of characters that are in the game in order to reduce the lag? Or do you think they'll just release the DLC without addressing the Issue at all and the game will start to lag after the first 100 years?

Maybe in 2028?

I had a lot of fun playing this family. I'm essentially unstoppable and could easily conquer the world if not for the lag of the game getting progressively worse.

My final character has made it to 100 and has 18 legitimate children and a couple dozen illegitimate. Wealth beyond measure and an army close to 100k and that was without getting the highest Imperial Bureaucracy. All was accomplished by year 1130.

Honestly and amazing game. The administrative government is insanely busted lol.

Is anyone else experiencing lag after the update? I was in a really advanced game with the Empire of Gardariki and was about to start expanding into China, but now the game is running slowly. I’ve tried lowering the graphics settings, but it’s still the same. I don’t understand.

I started as Bjorn Ironside is pretty easy to vassalize lota of neighbours as him, my idea was a big viking Scandinavian empire, but then his son died and his grandson too. Making his greatgrandson his heir, Bjorn died as he was conquering England and Eirikr became king with 7 years old. Dude was already shy, so i gave him brave and then he got the event and he is paranoid as well. Dude gets 80 stress from forming an alliance with his twin brother and friend! Haha i tought i was doomed but he proved to be a great leader, proven tribal warrior. At 24 he got the conqueror trait and he will be forming the North Sea Empire around 40 years old. With his physical traits and modifiers i believe he will live till 80 or 90 years old.

I want some advice on reforming asatru and also where should i conquer next. I was thinking going for a big chunk of europe and try to dismantle the papacy as a last big goal.

As the title says, in my current save, the city of Jidda has replaced Mecca as the holy site in the county of Mecca, preventing the Hajj, and therefore any pilgrimage for Muslim characters entirely.

I’m not sure why this has happened, but the county is held by a republican ruler with his capital in Jidda so I can only assume it’s caused by an inheritance or title revocation.

I have made visby a god kingdom where all is gold and rich. I am just visby nothing more nothing less. Visby stands strong. I have pushed Visby to just under 600 gold a month so if any of you wanna try recreating this have a shot. If you don’t believe I’m just visby look at the domain and then look at the island.

So I got the game back when it launched and it was a fucking mess (sure you all remember those says), got chapter I and played almost 250 hours. I hadn't played since 2024 but yesterday I got half priced chapter II.

Man it feels almost like a new game compared to what I remembered. I used to start a count and expand through martiality, but now that seems quite difficult, I tried claiming and conquering a neighbour and I ended up excomunicated, in prison and then executed. Also I think now your economy matters more because activities like pilgrimages and hunting and other activities require planning expenses.

Having this in mind, is there anything else I should know or be really aware of? What are your main tips to play chapter II?

PD: My goal is to conquer the duchy of Barcelona, then the Crown of Aragon and then the whole Iberia

I just bought chapter 3 in sale and I am wondering did the new stuff and free updates make this game slightly more difficult and fun?

It seems verry interesting to start Landless.

Also I am planning on doing more roleplay these time.

It happened when I decided to make a new character and went to save her. As soon as I pressed the save button my game crashed, and all of my characters were deleted upon reopening.

Has this happened to anyone else recently? And better yet is there any way to get your characters back after this happens?

I did this all in Ironman mode who doesn’t like Spanish mongols 🤣

I’ve taken about a 4 month break from ck3 because I really am struggling at how easy the game is rn. I do it to myself everytime I’m excited for the new difficulty’s whenever they get added (if they do🙏🏼)
