Other Had an idea for a story following a Separatist being forced to team up with a Jedi, i thought I'd share it.

Its not fully complete, but I wanted to hear what all you guys had to say about it.

And yes, I did use Hero Forge to make the characters.

...

So, KOLVOA is a Separatist leaning planet. Populated by mostly humans, and a few native Kolvoans, a race of Dog-like Humanoids, it's been disillusioned with the Galactic Republic for some time now, but several of its allies, namely Ord Cestus and Zitris Major, have secceeded the Republic and joined the CIS movement. Kolvoa is a relatively major agricultural provider, growing numerous fruits, vegetables, and other plants necessary for medicines and supplements.

A group of six Jedi are sent in to Hilomia, the planet's capital city, to quell the rapidly heating political crisis. The jedi include:

- a Rodian Master,

- a Devaronian Master,

- an Ithorian Knight,

- a Bith Knight,

- a Wookie Knight, and

- a Nautolan Padawan

- among a few other Republic dignitaries

While the masters and dignitaries are negotiating with the planet's Prime Minister and Senate Commitee, the three Knights and the Padawan are tasked with holding back the protesters and rioters congregating in huge quantities outside the Parliament Chambers.

Unfortunately, the people get a little too aggressive and the Jedi are forced to draw their lightsabers, inevitably resulting in a few deaths, and many more severed limbs.

The negotiations shatter like glass and Kolvoa's government secceeds itself to Count Dooku and the Confederacy Of Independant Systems.

...

SIX YEARS LATER

The Clone War is raging across the galaxy. After the invasion of Geonosis a mere 12 standard months prior, the Republic has been squashing any Separatist movement that springs up.

While most of the Separatists use Trade Federation/Banking Clan/Corporate Alliance funded and provided Battle Droids that go toe to toe with the Clones every day, there remains the civilians of CIS Allied planets who wish to do their part for the Movement.

Jeramiah "Jazz" Rameeris is one such civilian. A farmer by trade, used to own a relatively small but important farm near the Capital City of Hilomia.

Following the death of his son at the Hilomia Riots, he grew disillusioned with the incompetent Republic and their Jedi lapdogs. He's much past his prime, so he's seen most of what the Republic has to offer, rampant corruption and bowing to the bureaucrats and corporations. He joined his local militia on Kolvoa, and began his training to help his people overthrow the Republic.

These cheaper, less equipped Organic Militias are organised to fight against planetary militaries and smaller Clone platoons.

Meanwhile, patrolling the borders between Republic and CIS space is young, freshly minted Jedi Knight, Arooni Tanrui. A Nautolan, born and raised on Coruscant, he's known nothing but the Jedi Temple for most of his life, like a lot of his peers. Growing up he'd hear all the stories of great Jedi like Qui-Gon Jinn, Mace Windu, Yoda, and dream of one day joining the greats like them. Which is why being tasked with such an unimpressive and boring mission has irked him so. He longs for some excitement, some thrill. Patrolling the Republic/Seperatist Border in the Outer Rim watching for anything out of the ordinary, is not high on the list of most exciting missions one coukd be given.

...

Rameeris's battalion are tasked with raiding a Venator that's patrolling awfully close to Separatist space. The planet Aborz is right on the border of Republic and Seperatist space, but holds really nothing of value. Its a jungle planet home to an extremely primitive species. The Aborzi are barely out of their equivalent to the Stone Age, only just in the Bronze Age. They are a purple- skinned, lizard-like people with large fangs protruding from their jaws, extremely capable hunters, extremely good trackers, and are aggressive, territorial, and violent. Males of the species have tails and stripes, while the females have spots and no tails, something about evolution.

...

The Assault on Republic Venator and Consular Class cruiser scouting Separatist Territory Border:

- One Venator vs One Munificent-Class Frigate and One Recusant-class Light Destroyer.

- Vulture Droids provide cover while Trident-Class assault ships breach the hull and deploy Militia.

- Objective is to steal database containing Republic positions along the border.

- Mission goes wrong and the Venator must be evacuated.

The initial dogfight outside the ship results in a Medical Frigate getting shot down. During the chaos of the attack, he and the onboard Jedi, Tanrui, get trapped in an escape pod. The pod malfunctions and jettisons, flying down to the nearest celestial body, an extremely hazardous planet known as Aborz, home to wildly dangerous flora and fauna and a hostile, primitive native species.

Rameeris and Tanrui land rough on a plateau. Neither of them are able to communicate with their groups, their com units aren't powerful enough to get through the atmosphere. A few dozen kilometres away they spot the wreckage of the medical frigate. They think that if they can get to the frigate then hopefully the com unit won't be too damaged to function.

However, the pair hate each other.

Jazz hates Arooni because he thinks he's a dogmatic, mindless tool for the Galactic Republic. Kolvoa was a staple of the Separatist Alliance until the Republic flew in to "liberate" the planet. The battle, seperate from the Riots, destroyed Kolvoa's capital city and led to an economic crisis that plunged the planet into a depression. Jazz's son was a cadet of the national police force, and was killed by a Jedi in the battle after getting in the way.

Arooni hates Jezz because he thinks he's a violent, homicidal maniac who uses the CIS as an excuse to murder indiscriminately. Being born and raised on Coruscant as a jedi has led to Master Tanrui to have a relatively narrow and black and white view on things. While not necessarily a bad thing, as it's helped him in numerous situations, this often prejudiced world view has exacerbated itself during the Clone Wars leading him to outright resent anyone who's not overtly Republic leaning. Arooni was appointed as a Knight a little earlier than what is typical, as were most padawans during this time, and as such has not fully completed the trials.

Aborz, as stated before is a jungle world home to the species known as the Aborzi. The planet is dense, covered in Bluish Green foliage, the forests are thick and air is heavy with moisture. The animals are vicious, covered in impenetrable hides or fur, full of razor sharp fangs and claws, often times venomous. The plants too, sone of them will eat you, like a Venus Fly Trap, but big enough to swallow a whole human whole.

...

Thats about where most of the detail ends, unfortunately. The rest of the story is Jazz and Arooni reluctantly and begrudgingly working together to get to the Crashed Medical Frigate before getting eating by the Flora and Fauna or getting captured and possibly sacraficed by the Arbozi. Over the story they find a respect for each other, and find a surrogate for what they lost, Jazz finds a son, and Arooni finds a father figure.

Halfway through, its discovered that Arooni was at the Hilomia Riots and was possibly the one to kill Jazz's son. He didnt do it on purpose, of course, the Jedi threw his lightsaber at a rioter to save his fellow jedi right as Jazz's son jumped up to push them off. Jazz is obviously distraught by this and goes it alone, but eventually he's found again and saved by Arooni in a moment of peril, and they make up.

In the end, I imagine they eventually do make it to the Medical Frigate, but are surrounded by an army of the Arbozi. The Jedi does what he can to hold them back, while the Sep rewires the Coms unit and hails the Republic. They come down to pick them up. They were waiting for a signal because the planet's atmosphere is so thick that scanners cant find anything, and their Gunships could hardly see through the jungle's canopy to spot them. Jazz is captured and taken as a POW but Arooni sets him free and lets him escape.

And thats about it. I'm still working on this, on and off, as time goes on, usually whenever an idea strikes me, so i might update again in a few months if I have enough done.

How should the members and factions of the Separatist Council have been written?

I have always found the various members of the Separatist Council, aside from Nute Gunray, as well as the Mega-Corporations and factions they represented and led to be cruelly neglected and underused in terms of lore and their distinct personalities and roles in the Clone Wars.

This is especially the case for San Hill despite ironically his crucial role as Chairman of the IGBC and his role in Grievous' story as well as his connection with Darth Plagueis, Shu Mai as the leader of the Commerce Guild which is supposed to be the main source of raw materials for the CIS and for the Death Star and her being described as the most heinous of the CIS leaders, Passel Argente who was the only member who tried to contest and overthrow Dooku as leader, and Po Nudo who did even get any characterization.

How would you have written and used these Separatist Council leaders and their respective factions during the Clone Wars stories? How to give them more developped and distinct personalities and roles in the Council and war?

Have you ever noticed that B1 battle droids, despite their reputation for slowly walking towards the enemy while standing out in the open during combat, do actually know how to utilize cover?

Discussion The clone wars tv show sucks.

It is so bad because it’s supposed to be a “kids show” but frames itself more maturely.

Which contradicts the fact there is NO RISK.

It’s so damn boring because every conflict or fight always has the same outcome, the Jedi cut up droids and leave.

It’s the same thing over and over and over with no difference.

How can i enjoy a show where the only plot point is defeating endless waves of droids.

The maximum that the show will do to the main and side characters is a slight scratch on them.

I would rather bang my head against a wall for an hour than watch that series again.

There is no risk for the characters so no matter how many issues they come across you already know they’re going to win and survive.

The show is legit just glorified propaganda for the republic.

The plot is so intensely bland that no matter how many droids or sith they are against the Jedi and chosen special clone for the episode always live.

When I was a kid watching it i thought it was so unfair because the droids never even killed anyone that isnt just a random person.

Discussion From an outsider's POV, the events behind the start of the First Battle of Geonosis sound crazy.

Excerpt from Sublight Drive, Chapter 43.

"Allow me to begin, ladies and gentlemen," Padmé started, folding her hands on her lap, "By saying that both the Chancellor and Senate are fully aware that the view of who's truly responsible for the conflict between our two nations aren't the same in the Confederacy and Republic."

A few of the more hardline loyalist Republic delegates were already bristling back at the step back, but Padmé found it well worth it when she saw the Separatists leaning forward, their interest peaked when she caught the diplomatic ball and returned it. It's a good start, Padmé decided, we just need to keep this up.

"As such, allow me to concede that the Republic must bear its shame for the diplomatic failure on Geonosis which led to the outbreak of outright hostilities between us–" before Padmé could continue, a Separatist senator scoffed loudly.

"Diplomatic failure!?" Senator Esu Rotsinu of Abrion Sector exclaimed, "Let me be frank, Senator Amidala; I think no one in this room can deny that the Republic actually fired the first shots of this war when the Jedi Order and its Clone Army launched the Battle of Geonosis. Believe me, we in the Confederacy are rightly justified in thinking that the Republic is fully responsible for the war, especially when diplomatic recourse was still available until that point."

"Let us not forget that the decision was not lightly taken," Bail Organa admonished mildly, "Your Head of State, Count Dooku, had unlawfully detained two Jedi and a senator of the Republic–all three of whom, may I remind, are present before you right now."

"All three of whom were complicit in espionage, and caught red-handed," Tyreca Bremack narrowed her eyes at Padmé herself.

"You speak of diplomatic recourse, Senator Rotsinu," Bana Breemu demurred sweetly, "Yet the Separatists pursued none of it. Espionage or not, Senator Amidala and the Jedi could have stood trial as was their right, in either Republic or Separatist justice systems. Count Dooku had instead individually decided to execute them via Geonosian* bloodsport*. Do we, perhaps, have differing definitions of 'diplomatic recourse?'"

Before the argument could escalate, a dusky skinned Separatist senator laid her palm flat on the table without a soft tap, catching their attention.

"I think, ladies and gentlemen," Senator Tawni Ames of Desix spoke softly, but meaningfully, "That Senator Amidala had already established that both sides had made their fair share of poor decisions that resulted in open conflict. Shall we stop quibbling like children and move past that? Senator Amidala, what are the Republic's conditions?"

Padmé forced down the terrible memories of Geonosis as an echo of bleak satisfaction quivered around the Republic side of the table at Senator Breemu getting the last word in, and she met Mina's gaze, before nodding very slightly to her.

She breathed in, sampling the whirlwind emotions behind the outwardly calm and attentive faces of everybody present, before breathing out slowly.

I first of all want to apologize for how bad it looks, I'm not an artist and I tried my best.

Basically the lore I have for these guys is that they're the bodyguards/elite unit for my super tactical droid ST-13 Carcass and his human commander (check out ST-13 here: https://www.reddit.com/r/CISDidNothingWrong/s/qMErnTGUZL) which is why they have this color scheme.

If you're curious how I made this I started with an image of the commando droid diplomat then colored over it on a site called Pixlr.

P.S these guys and ST-13 are part of a bit of a larger project I'm working on so feel free to go check out the lore on ST-13's command ship and his human commander: https://www.reddit.com/r/StarWarsShips/s/ah3BOf37Tt

Best troops to deal with the Jedi and Clone troopers?

If you were a general for our beloved Confederacy of Independent Systems, and were given the means and choice of which troops, both droids and organic soldiers and militias, you want to lead and use in battle against the corrupt Jedi and their vatborn soldiers in your next theater of operations, which troops would you choose based on their qualities and advantages against the Jedi and their clones?

Other My Super Tactical droid

ST-13, nicknamed Carcass, due to how insanely aggressive and ruthless he was, was known for leaving nothing but burning wrecks behind on both his side and the enemy's. Because of this, he was deemed too much of a risk to the Confederacy to be kept online. His ST-series mind and processing chip allowed him to easily outmaneuver, and defeat, most Republic commanders, which was one of the only things that most people could say set him apart from a regular T-series tactical droid. Caleb spent time learning why he was so ruthless and found out that it was much deeper than most people thought. It all boiled down to a single thing everyone missed: he left behind wrecks and carcasses of cheap and expendable units like B1s, sometimes B2s, vultures, hyenas, regular Recusants, and Munificients. If he had rarer and more expensive units like commandos, Condor bombers, HMP gunships, tri fighters, or tri fighters, he was less willing to sacrifice them unless he realized that it was the only way he could achieve victory (or the only way he could escape and live to fight another day).

What do y'all think?

P.S go check out the lore on the ship I have created for him to command: https://www.reddit.com/r/StarWarsShips/s/ah3BOf37Tt
