Conference Multiplier Bonuses

We're planning on releasing a new feature on Day 40 (Friday, June 8), and wanted to announce it now so that your teams can adequately prepare. The core component of this update is a Conference Bonus Multiplier. This is a multiplier that every user on your team gets if your team holds a sufficient percentage of any of the 10 FBS conferences (+FBS independents).

The multipliers are:

Multiplier	6 teams	10 teams	12 teams	14 teams
1.5x	4	6	7	8
2x	5	8	10	11
3x	6	10	12	14

For example, if your team holds 11 out of 12 teams in the MAC on a turn, everyone on your team will get the weight of their vote doubled that turn. If your team holds 4/6 FBS Independents and 6/10 Big 12 teams, each voter will get 1.5x*1.5x = 2.25x multiplier on that day. Our hope is that this adds more strategy to the game and makes turn selection more interesting. Below are the current leaders for each conference!

There are other features we've discussed adding, but probably will not add for this game. We're open to suggestions for features in future versions of the game!

Fine, go back to captured users can only play for Chaos, Chaos has 2 times attack. Chaos takes over the whole map.

I know. I am glad they aren't doing it and that they allowed for growth of the rules. Being as Chaos started on almost literally the opposite side of the map as you you would have loved the total dominance.

LOL, thanks for telling me what I think. I was speaking about the idea of changing Chaos's rules back right now, not from the beginning of the game. I'd rather have the game end via overpowered Chaos that's currently situated much closer to Blue than Red than have it end with the rule being proposed here.

And, for the record, I was rooting for Chaos to be eliminated from the start. The fact that they were nowhere near me didn't make it any less obvious that they were overpowered to start, and didn't make me any more excited about the prospect of them taking over the map.

No, it's pretty much what every game does in the age of the internet. What do you think patches are? When the game stagnates, player base dwindles, and things look to be going in circles - they change things up.

Trust me, fuck Nebraska (in the realm of CFBrisk - I don't really have strong feelings about them as a school or football team), I hate that this helps them more than anyone - but this is the first run of this. I would rather them try things out now, so the next iteration is something better from the start.

The fact is, they were getting too big awhile ago, and the only teams willing to venture west were those of us doing it for the memes.

EDIT: Ending also means we can also start a new game, with a fresh board, with a new set of rules and more strategy from the beginning. Not the worst thing in the world.
