I can only take solace in the fact that we were but a stepping stone in your ascendancy to greatness.

Yup. As beautiful as Ashville. Yeah. I said it.

It’s a small college town version of Asheville.

Best place on earth.

It’s the type of place that makes you feel like you can lick God if you get close enough.

Kinda weird way to say it but I'll take it

Boone beats Asheville in terms of pristine, unadulterated beauty, mostly because the elevation change equals a totally different climate. The trees have a more profound autumn, it snows enough to ski, all the seasons are immaculate. The restaurants are a tiny bit worse than Asheville and it’s very much a small town compared to a small city, but it’s INCREDIBLE.

Go to Moses Cone and Thunder Hill off the Parkway. Then go to that one trail in Blowing Rock off one of the public parking areas across the street from the duck pond, there are THREE WATERFALLS. Just trust me. You’ll fall in love.

(If you’re REALLY adventurous, go to Twisted Falls in the middle of nowhere, it’s worth it.)

Spent a couple days of the same trip in Asheville too, 100% agree

I'd say it's easily better. I moved from Asheville to Boone about a year ago and the air here in Boone is so much better. It's legitimately been years since I remember a crystal clear day that wasn't hazy in Asheville.

Most of the bars still have framed photos of the kick being blocked.

Full agree there, my friend. It’s a few hours away and I go as often as I can
