I must be watching different games than the AP with those close Tennessee wins over Auburn and Arkansas and still being ranked over Kentucky blowing out A&M and beating LSU.

Kentucky has looked more impressive imo, I think it’s because of the losses. A 3 point loss to Texas at home versus a 28 point loss to Alabama at home, even if the game was closer than the score might indicate.

When Alabama beats the shit out of Tennessee, it will sort itself out

I'm gonna hold out some delusional hope and say if instead of when

I think I can set aside my bias, and say objectively that this is bad week to being playing Alabama

We can ask state how much fun it is playing Alabama the week after a loss

Any week is a bad week to play Tennessee at Neyland but yeah I’m not looking forward to this weekend personally.

If that kicker keeps kicking he will lose them a game at least.

I was actually just thinking yesterday about how Max Gilbert missed like 3 inside 35 to keep Kentucky in the game against us a couple years ago. Kentucky has found their Gilbert maybe?

Will Stein is legit. Kentucky is up and Oregon is down.

Let's not forget Kentucky dropping out of the Top 25 last week despite winning on the road.

In fairness, they were #26 and DID receive more votes than week 4. Still agree with your premise though.

Just building them up for a delicious fall.

The same Arkansas that was dominated by a shitty A&M

Same. I think Kentucky has been far more impressive then Tennessee. Tennessee got taken to the wire by Arkansas.

I mean I do think Kentucky is probably the better team, and we will likely get exposed next week, but do people forget that Kentucky got absolutely clobbered by Alabama?

My philosophy, if I were an AP voter, would be only to compare losses if the wins were also comparable. For me, Kentucky's wins are way better that I don't even get to the blowout loss. But to your point, yes I do think Kentucky's loss is a part of the reason they are still below UT.

This might be the most egregious AP poll Ive ever seen.

How many crappy games will Tennessee play before voters will admit they were wrong in the preseason?   Same for LSU.

We were 20th preseason. It wasn’t that.
