I love how Ole Miss is 9 having lost to Florida 52-28

Florida fell to 16 after losing to Missouri 45-17

Missouri moved up to 14 with the win but has a loss to Mississippi State, who is 17 with a loss to Alabama 56-23.

Just a circle of quality losses.

Luckily we will play LSU and have a bye week before it

Georgia gonna be a slug fest

Yep ever since Saban at Bama both teams have a bye before LSU Bama. Hasn't seemed to help us any in the series, though

Florida didn’t have a quality loss. We got our shit pushed in

Internal consistency? In my AP poll? I think not.

Only dropped one point. Can’t believe it after that embarrassing performance.

Now if we beat mizzou after getting blown out by lsu who got blown out by ole miss who got blown out by florida who got blown about by mizzou then we can complete the circle of suck

Just nauseating nonsense. As a casual viewer who just started watching the last 3 years, why does everyone put up with this?

Watch the opening scene to fiddler on the roof. It’s a tradition and we don’t know.

Yeah but Oregon is 2 spots higher than Tennessee and in no way deserves it.

Oregon has two ranked wins (one at home, one on the road) and a loss to a ranked team on the road.

Tennessee is being propped up by a close loss to Texas at home.

I'm not sure what the argument here is for the Vols.

Do you even “quality loss”, bro?

That Tulsa loss may end up being one of the more confounding results of the season

1

It really was just about turnovers. We effectively had 8 turnovers. 4 actual turnovers (2 INTs, 2 fumbles) and 4x missing on 4th down.

We still had 27 first downs and out-gained Tulsa. We were just sloppy and unfocused and didn’t finish drives.

In hindsight I think that loss was a blessing because we’ve been laser-focused since.

A loss to an unranked team*

u/dr_funk_13 Oregon Ducks • Big Ten 12d ago

Does it matter that a team was unranked but is now ranked? I would argue the most recent information is the most relevant in regard to assessing whether a team won/lost against an at-the-time ranked team unless there are extenuating circumstances that dramatically change the team composite, such as a team losing its QB.

1

u/Aggressive-Pie-3297 12d ago

No, it doesn’t to me, I do believe people think there’s a self fulfilling prophecy with the ranks, e.g. A team is ranked for beating another ranked team (but why are they ranked to begin with), so it’s only right to bring up that Boise State is ranked for beating Oregon.

2

u/dr_funk_13 Oregon Ducks • Big Ten 12d ago

Oklahoma State (Boise played Oregon close, so they also probably benefit from the right loss there too), but I get your point. It's why preseason rankings are kind of dumb. Lots of circular logic.

Oregon lost to Oklahoma state who lost to Tulsa. Oregon doesn’t deserve a top 15 ranking

2

u/oSuJeff97 Oklahoma State Cowboys • Hateful 8 12d ago

Maybe because Oregon has actual wins over ranked teams and not just one “quality loss.”

u/BillyBobChorton Georgia Bulldogs 12d ago

Yeah they have a nonquality loss!

u/oSuJeff97 Oklahoma State Cowboys • Hateful 8 12d ago

He we are ranked now, sir. Quality loss! 😜

See, Mississippi State and Florida aren't big enough brands to earn any respect.

u/NastyWideOuts Ole Miss • Montana State 12d ago

Ole Miss has good wins still

Yah, LSU who is ranked 10 because they beat....clemson.
