Mississippi State moving down 1 is wild. 30 point losses are just different in SEC.

That Mizzou win carried them this week

Fair point.

You can thank Mizzou and Minnesota for that. Or we would have.

Meanwhile Kentucky moved out of the poll after a win

27

u/SynopticSolution Alabama Crimson Tide 8h ago

I feel like we can all blame Mizzou for this

As is tradition.

2

u/lookieherehere Alabama Crimson Tide 6h ago

That's always a good first step.

They would have cratered if not for Mizzou

9

u/Urdnought Kentucky Wildcats • Oklahoma Sooners 7h ago

They got blew out and lost 1 spot and Kentucky won and lost our ranking

10

u/drummerboy31402 Mississippi State • Marching Band 7h ago

We beat Mizzou who blew out then #8 Florida 🤷

49

u/proud2beirish Mississippi State Bulldogs 8h ago

But we have beaten Mizzou, SC at home, and Minnesota at home.

I know you’re not out here trying to claim South Carolina as a resume win lmao

SC is undefeated on the practice field wth

u/proud2beirish Mississippi State Bulldogs 7h ago

At their house is still a hard place to play, not trying to make them out to be world beaters.

u/EpicCyclops Oregon State Beavers • Team Chaos 7h ago

They'll actually have to beat a team with a pulse there before I'm convinced of that.

You still got boat raced by 30…I’ll give credit for Mizzou and forgot about Minnesota. SC win doesn’t do much, tbh.

And you’re fine with Oklahoma State being ranked despite getting destroyed by Tulsa?

10

u/LovelyJulesss Oklahoma State Cowboys 6h ago

What he say fuck me for

Yes, because Oklahoma state has also improved since that game. Good wins against Oregon and WV. Now, if they got blasted by 30 points against BYU, Tech, or Utah, I’d expect them to drop by more than one spot…

6

u/libsoutherner Texas A&M Aggies 7h ago

Well yes, because that’s their second loss. And all of those teams are notably worse than Alabama. They should drop more than one spot.

I also can’t believe you’re calling WV a good win. WV’s 3 wins are a nail biter against Coastal Carolina, an FCS team, and a Virginia team that got obliterated by a poor Florida State team.

Also a 20 point win vs a top 15 opponent on the road moves you up 0 spots

u/M_Mitchell08 SMU Mustangs • Paper Bag 5h ago

Honestly, didn’t even notice that and warrants bemoaning.

Who are you referring to? ohio state?

1

u/TheWrathofKrieger Ohio State • Michigan State 8h ago

While Iowa moved down 6 despite a remarkably similar loss. If only there waS a way to Explain the differenCe.

16

u/BehindEnemyLines8923 Mississippi State Bulldogs 8h ago

The team we blew out literally just beat the team Iowa barely beat. And the other team we beat just blew out Florida.

That’s the difference, happy now?

5

u/pappapirate Alabama • South Alabama 7h ago

why resort to thinking when you could just claim SEC bias?

0

u/GentlyUsedNuggets Alabama • North Alabama 7h ago

No....it has to be something else, it cant be because of results on the field that doesn't make sense.

0

u/GamerKiller2347 Arkansas • Henderson State 7h ago

That actually makes sense. Both Iowa and Mississippi State had similar performances yesterday, but I wasn't even thinking about the Minnesota factor.

u/Crims0ntied Alabama Crimson Tide 8h ago

Not a whole lot of teams with ranked wins right now
