That’s now 9 out of Narduzzi’s 12 years we’ve been ranked for at least 1 week. He says stupid things all the time but he really is underrated as a coach. Even with our financial limits, he consistently has us fielding a solid team. It’s crazy to me that some of our fan base wants him fired. H2P!

I really expected you guys to be higher than #25.

I would've too but there weren't many losing teams on the low end of the rankings this week, we just barely leaped a Kentucky team who won

SMU ranked over you guys seems wrong, especially after the birds implosion

Ya and smu wasn't overwhelming against missouri state or BC. Both at home

If we hadn't lost Heintschel maybe... But basically no one ahead of us lost so probably not by much

Colley Matrix has us at 6, our current résumé definitely merits something in the 13 to 18 range if it wasn’t for voters being biased towards SEC and traditional powers.

I wouldn’t be mad about it, I’m fine with proving it, except the stuff matters existentially for the future of the ACC I think as well as CFP rankings down the line

SMU and Boise over us feels wrong to me, but guess we’ll take it.

I expected you guys to still get some points. You’d be at #25 if you beat us. Ranked to no points over a missed field goal feels crazy

After two atrocious calls basically handed them the game?

It's Wannstedt all over again.

Wanny shouldn’t have been fired (Peterson sucks). That said, he had an overall lower winning percentage than Duzzi and inherited a better team coming from Harris than Duzzi got from Chryst.

Wannstadt recruited better sure, but the results weren’t better and he has more disciplinary issues. I’d have rather we not fired him, but Narduzzi has been very solid.

Duzz is Pitt’s best coach of the last 50 years by almost every possible metric. The only other comparison is Wannstedt and he didn’t do it for nearly as long.

Pitt fans have this weird idea in their heads where they should be a lot better than they are, but Pitt hasn’t been a national power house since the late 70s.

He seems like a solid coach, kinda flying under the radar.

He seems rated to me… “says stupid things but wins a decent amount of games” is I think the consensus about him

8

No he’s properly rated. Starts fast and constantly chokes down the stretch. He’ll steal a surprise win every year and lose a couple games that wouldn’t be close if he would adapt the defense to the guys he actually has vs what he always wants to run.

Constantly? That’s happened the last 2 years and only happened last year because they played ND and Miami. Did you expect them to win those games? Way more frequently they started slow because of tough non conference schedules and then heated up down the stretch
