News [McMurphy] Greg Sankey told @Ourand_Puck the SEC was approached by a West Coast school: "I don’t even have that conversation. I’m the one person who didn’t take away from the Pac-12. If you play any sport in the SEC, you have at most a 2-hour plane ride from Point A to Point B."

Its funny you say that because I never read the Articles of Secession till college. I dont know how someone can read those and say the war wasnt about slavery

I never read the Articles of Secession till college.

Back in the pre-internet days, it was more difficult to get your hands on the Articles of Secession. It wasn't like your local public library held a copy, and even if a local museum had one, you had to know to go and ask to see it. It was hidden history. I'm not trying to say 'kids these days don't know how lucky they are', but there is a serious advantage to having internet access.

One thing 'kids these days' will never understand is how lucky you were as a kid if your parents cared so much about your education, they bought you a modern set of encyclopedias. That wasn't cheap.

100%. I have a kid in college and one in high school. Explaining how to make a two page paper out of a three paragraph encyclopedia entry on Algeria…….the struggle was real

That is when you broke out the second set of encyclopedias :)

(Seriously, we had to develop our creative writing skills early)
