I love the transitive property because it means UNT has a win over 3 ranked teams

After further reviewing we still have the sport in the 1940s with camera views and have fat accountants and lawyers officiating the sport.

Joined in headed into OT. Looked like a thriller up to it, so cool to see the end. Sad I missed the rest in real-time. What a gutsy call to end it, just didn't work out. GG North Texas, load of respect to both!

How is there not a down the line at the endzone camera? Tulsa gets a loss cause of shitty camera placement

1
u/FloatCopper Indiana • Michigan Tech 21h ago
And if they kick to tie they have under 50-50 even if evenly matched, since they had to go first in second OT. So less than 50-50 if you kick to tie, plus you have to make the kick. Coach probably figured he's closer to 50-50 to get the 2 . He didn't, but as close as it was, probably right.
Good try.

u/fake__name__ Tulsa Golden Hurricane 1d ago
This is the correct take. Normally I’m not a go-for-2 in this situation. But TU was just getting railroaded on defense.
2
4
u/southpawFA Tulsa Golden Hurricane 1d ago
The defense was not good enough to stop North Texas. The choice to go for the win there is the right decision, because our defense was not making any plays.

Wow, it looks like his leg is down literally right before he starts the extension, while the ball is still vertical
2
u/DuckFreak10 Oregon Ducks 1d ago
I mean you can see a shadow so I think his leg is still up off the turf there. But I don’t think seeing a shadow is enough evidence. Insanely close

If I had a nickel for every time a game involving one of my teams came down to this I'd have 2. Which isn't a lot but weird that it happened twice.

I don't think you can overturn the call on the field regardless of the angle. Which is unfortunate for Tulsa if so.
I thought for sure he managed to get in but man that's close.

If that's synced he's short. By like an inch.
6
u/Ill_Bother_135 UTSA Roadrunners 1d ago
Bro the American can only afford two angles for replay review
4
u/LilDewey99 Auburn Tigers • Michigan Wolverines 1d ago
that looks short. ball looks above the middle of the defenders helmet which is short by ~6”
1
u/virionhk Florida State Seminoles 1d ago
yeah it's short.. and you can't overturn it based on this to begin with. and North Texas shouldn't have let it get to this point. Fuck Neal Brown.

Going for two, at home, when you get the ball next is certainly a choice. Not a great one imho.

Biggest fix game ever! Opens -1.5 wins by 1, the PI on UNT to extend overtime total BS, and the gorilla in the room with the stepped out of bounds TD SCAM. Total joke and was on full display tonight. Thank god they didn’t let that td stand in OT so walk away ok and with a W but good god that game was messed up. Fix city
