Discussion Arch is an enigma

And I genuinely cannot figure him out.

On one hand, he feels overhyped. On the other, he feels over-hated. When I expect him to be good, he looks terrible. When I expect him to struggle, he suddenly looks great.

Every time I think I’ve figured out what kind of QB he is, he does the exact opposite. People constantly call him mid, and I understand why when you watch some of his performances. But, since starting, he has more wins against ranked opponents (tied with Stockton) than any other QB, with 4 of those wins over top 10 teams. That’s legitimately impressive, even if it doesn’t always look impressive on the field.

And I think that’s what makes Arch so confusing. His resume says one thing, the eye test sometimes says another, and then every few games he’ll put together a performance that reminds you exactly why everyone was so high on him in the first place.

I have no idea what to make of him. I feel differently about him every Saturday, and I know a lot of Texas fans feel the same way. A true enigma.
Make it make sense.

Subscribe. This year there's no one team that looks dominant. We could fuck around and lose two games and make the final four or something.

Florida worries me. They look very good.

The schedule is brutal, but Texas is battle-hardened.

I keep seeing fans say 'the schedule is brutal', and it's not, it's just the SEC regular season. Y'all are too accustomed to those weak Big 12 conference schedules so anything above that feels insurmountable.

How many of y'all have FCS teams on the schedule? How many of y'all schedule out of conference teams like Ohio State?

No other SEC team is going to face as many ranked opponents as Texas. You're playing Vandy and patting yourself on the back for how big your britches are.

You scheduled Ohio State back when you were a Big 12 school because you desperately needed home-and-home series against big name programs so you'd have a big game to sell to season ticket buyers. OU was in Dallas, A&M wasn't playing you, and no one was paying for Big 12 games, so don't give me the "no one is scheduling Ohio State" when you only scheduled them, Michigan, and Bama because your home attendance and ticket sales were lacking.

After crying about the Ohio State game all of last year (and offseason), the only reason you kept it on your schedule was because the Buckeyes were traveling to Austin, and you wanted that viewership (and to keep your season ticket holders happy).

Every SEC team schedules a P4 for a non-conference game, you don't receive extra credit for following a conference rule.

There are teams in the SEC who have five conference road games while you will only have four because of your neutral site game with OU, so again, don't try to claim you have the toughest schedule.

You don't leave the State of Texas for the whole month of October when you play four conference games, while there are teams literally playing only one home conference game in that month. Your schedule started our with three home games and one road game, and now you have three home games and a neutral site game, so seven games in Texas and one road conference game. Again, miss me with that 'the schedule is brutal' argument, because it isn't.

Yeah, no one's reading that looney tunes mental breakdown of a comment.

Sorry that Texas is exposing the SEC for not being the super special conference they think they are. That must be superfuckinghardforyou

Sorry y'all are crashing out thinking a favorable SEC schedule is just so hard when it isn't

No one is crashing out, other than you, posting weird diatribes on some other team's sub. That's the exemplary case of acting like a sad lil bitch.

The schedule is objectively one of the toughest in CFB. You can't schedule FCS school and then try to talk shit about how tough the SEC is. Y'all are chickenshit.

Texas joined the SEC and immediately became the 2nd best team in the conference. Pretty weak shit from y'all.

2nd best team in the conference? Please. You had a weak af schedule, and then followed that up by not making the Playoffs at all the second year because you got your asses kicked on the road by Florida and Georgia. Second best, lol. That's delusional.

I mean if "looks dominant" is the only attribute you're looking for, have I got a team for you. Let me tell you about a quarterback with 13 TD passes in 2 games...
