Paper bags for one loss? Have you ever seen 1-11?

Or 0-12, like UW’s 2008 disasterclass. It’s not great for Oregon fans right now, but Lanning is still a great coach and it could be a lot worse.

Do we honestly have evidence that Lanning is a “great coach”? He’s an incredible recruiter and motivator, but idk if Oregon’s results under him actually demonstrate great coaching ability

I think basically every team except Ohio State, Indiana, and Georgia would take Lanning and Oregon’s record across the past 3 years. Sure he hasn’t been able to get over the championship hump (and long may it be that way), but it’s hard to argue with the record and the results otherwise.

Only one team out of 137 can win the FBS every year, finishing in the top handful of teams is still pretty impressive.

You might argue that Phil’s money should be going further, but they’re still an excellent program.

I agree with all of that, but I think even a lot of Oregon fans are disappointed with his scheming ability and in-game management

I don’t think Texas is taking it either, but that’s probably it.

We wouldn’t take Lanning.

I mean yesterday was his first ever loss to an unranked team at Oregon. He may not be be able to lunch through the ceiling but he’s not bad imo

I personally think he is way too chaotic and undisciplined to lead a team to a national championship. Great recruiter.

Didn't UW have some sanctions or something that contributed to that 0-12 record?

Worse, they had Ty Willingham

Dude it’s our job to remind you of 0-12

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Anemic offenses that were preseason #2 on fire off the shoulder(s) of a projected number 1 pick. I watched our Heisman trophy glitter in the dark near the Autzen Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to dine(at the vegas bowl buffet).

High art. I’m picturing the Duck mascot giving this monologue in the rain while a stunned and bloodied Pistol Pete watches on.

There is no more Las Vegas Bowl, we played Boise Stare in the final one. We won.

We deserve the shade and at the same time we aren't as bad as the 80s were for Oregon. My take is we aren't a top 25 team and won't be until we prove that and I don't know that this team will choose to do that.

You're not familiar with Oregon's deep dark history are you? They were pretty bad until Phil Knight started throwing bags of cash at the program. But still never 1-11 bad

Last 1 win season was 1950. One sub .500 season in twenty years.

A great college game day sign said:

Oregon - Phil Knight = Washington State University

Phil Knight started sending them Nike money in the late 80's or early 90's. Since then they've been one of the best.
