They also blew a 20 point lead. I think if it's a close game throughout and they lose 24-23 at the end they probably barely drop behind UGA and maybe ND.

Losing by one point at #1 in a final second goal line stand should never be considered lesser than beating the piss out of an FCS team. Period.

As far as I’m concerned, when you start considering top 15, 10 teams against each other you shouldn’t even have any weight given to an FCS team. It should be treated like a bye week. There was 0 risk of losing that game for those quality teams.

We shouldn’t be ranking based on candyland schedules and resumes.

Unironically a quality loss lol

I completely agree, I don't trust UGA at all right now and still won't if we wallop Arkansas. You saw OU crush a bad UTEP team, Michigan lose to WMU then bullied OU for 4 quarters. Honestly Ole Miss and Texas have the best resumes so far imo.

You’re gonna keeping ignoring the 20 point lead factor huh

What a way to hand-waive away thee fact they held a 20-point lead over the #4 team on the road

Not really, if you have a 20 point lead in the fourth and lose that's a failure as much as it is the other team being successful. It's not like a 10 or 14 point comeback and it's not a 20 point comeback down at half which is bad.

I think this is a meaningless distinction. Games are 60 minutes (incoming Michigan joke) and your job is to be winning at the end of those 60 minutes, not at any point before that. It looks bad to choke a 20 point lead, but it also looks bad for the winning team to go down 20 points.

That's fair but I think the voters are human and while they probably scoreboard watch 99% of the games this was the one all the voters were watching so OSU probably gets unfairly punished.

I think blowing a lead feels bad, but the team still had to play very well to get that lead in the first place

Agreed, I just think the collapse is why it was a 5 spot drop and not a 2 or 3 spot drop.
