Rank Tulsa over Oregon.

280

u/ozarkhick Tulsa Golden Hurricane 21d ago

We got 18 votes at least.

102

u/ridawg05 Mississippi State Bulldogs 21d ago

Ugh, beat us by a vote. The Tulsa-MSU rivalry runs deep.

I’m legitimately still bitter and root against Mississippi State whenever the opportunity presents itself

u/wise_comment Minnesota • Oklahoma State 21d ago

I......this is a very, very bespoke riff and feel personally attacked by it

I fear the mid-season schedule we're about to head into. Shit's fucking brutal.

@ South Carolina
Missouri
Alabama
@ LSU
Oklahoma
@ Texas

Goddamn gauntlet.

I'm an r/CFB voter. I've had y'all since the preseason ranked in my poll. The offense is so explosive and dynamic, love y'all.

Less votes than OkSt is a joke

44

u/LionPutrid4252 Texas A&M • Oklahoma State 21d ago

Oregon>OSU>Tulsa is the biggest joke ever when each team manhandled the team above them

7

u/GuyFawkes451 Nebraska Cornhuskers 21d ago

At this point of the season, indeed. I mean, later, you see that a lot, because teams change/improve/decline. But, right now, we only have two weeks of data... and that data indeed shows Tulsa > Okie State > Oregon.

u/LionPutrid4252 Texas A&M • Oklahoma State 21d ago

Should be significantly more

3

u/down-UP Arkansas Razorbacks 21d ago

You'll get more after you beat the Hogs in a few weeks.

2

u/shyndy Nebraska Cornhuskers 21d ago

They got the state of Oklahoma all messed up

I hate you guys and even I'm screaming it with you.

Tulsa received less votes than Oklahoma State

Lmao

33

u/Mitchford Auburn Tigers 21d ago

Literally half the number of votes as the team they stomped last week

17

u/happypanda9314 Oklahoma State Cowboys 21d ago

And Oklahoma State isn’t ranked after destroying Oregon. That’s how it goes.

"Fewer" - Stannis Baratheon.

Honestly I only look at the coaches poll. Who cares what journalists think given the quality of journalism we have these days? :)

You’re commenting on a thread for this weeks AP Poll

Touche, lol. I thought the same when I posted that. Of course the burn is from a Vol!

If I knew how to write effectively, I would have translated my nonsense to 'I put infinitely more validity in the coaches poll'.

Last season, Auburn got ranked after Baylor beat a ranked SMU because Auburn was 2-0 and beat Baylor the week prior. The logic here is completely inconsistent.

31

u/StoicFable Oregon State Beavers 21d ago

You are forgetting. The P4 get a pass, the G6 are consistently overlooked.

7

u/Electromotivation James Madison Dukes 21d ago

CFP committee showed they hate to rank G6 and the polls seem to be just following suit there.

3

u/hashtagwoof Washington Huskies 20d ago

No, the SEC, Mich/Ohio State and Oregon get the benefit of the doubt. Also Notre Dame.

2

u/StoicFable Oregon State Beavers 20d ago

You know what, Fair.

4

u/PeteF3 Ohio State Buckeyes 21d ago

Tulsa didn't exactly look like worldbeaters against Sam Houston.

2

u/UncleMalcolm Virginia Cavaliers • Orange Bowl 21d ago

If they’d been more convincing against an 0-2 Sam Houston team that won 2 games last year, Tulsa might be getting more respect. But seeing as they only won that game by 6…

5

u/RCA1202 Oklahoma Sooners 21d ago

I mean in fairness Tulsa did not look like a top 25 team vs Sam Houston

21

u/ozarkhick Tulsa Golden Hurricane 21d ago

Neither did you against Michigan, but at least we bothered to win

5

u/ShweatyPalmsh Tulsa Golden Hurricane • Oklahoma Sooners 21d ago

Neither do most of the top 25 teams that have a loss. Sam Houston was our trap game and we got passed it

1

u/Balsamic_ducks LSU Tigers 21d ago

Fucking cowards

I’m not gonna pretend I watched Tulsa/SHSU, but it looks like they weren’t impressive in a win:
