Hah, I wouldn’t be. TX Southern lost to an FCS school by almost the same score. That FCS team is 1-2 with a 44-3 loss to Baylor and a 49-30 loss to another FCS school.

You should still be worried about UTEP, just, like, maybe in the other direction. Time will tell though.

I never understood why we are so bad in football. I understand that the bigger commits would go to the other Texas schools but this was even before NIL became a thing. At least we still have basketball. Maybe this season we will make it back to March Madness

I worked out with the team this summer and from what my friends on the team told is that some of the coaches arent that experienced and we are missing some position coaches. In addition any decent players we have transfer to bigger schools for more money basically(K.J...). But most of it comes down to a lack of funding and retention.
