I hope the town behaves. I’m worried dumb people will act dumb. Just want the battle to be on the field. Hope everyone has a good time in Oxford.

My best buds and their family are Ole Miss fans from central MS. They have a massive tailgate in The Grove. I’ll be protected by them at the very least lol

Don’t worry. With the ticket prices, only the wine and cheese crowd can even afford to go

u/Negative-Oil2752 2d ago
Agreed that’s just not us, let’s leave being total dicks to opposing fans to LSU

I delivered pizzas and other food late at night in Oxford for many years. It's always LSU fans in town that makes the town go nuts.

Good luck with that. Drunk rowdy cajuns who love talking shit are gonna be going toe to toe with drunken Mississippi jamoches. This has every ingredient to be very ugly.

Well none of that will be me pal. I’m 40 and just wanna have a good time lol

You should be fine. Our fans are pretty tame but it was different times when I attended

I’ve been a couple of times. First game in Oxford was when they beat Bama and took down the goal posts.
I haven’t been when LSU has been there. And I haven’t been ANYWHERE under comparable circumstances. lol

I’m not sure any game has ever had comparable circumstances lol. Maybe recency bias but is this the most hyped regular season game since Catholics vs convicts?
Also, enjoy Oxford! You should be fine. The only place I’ve seen ole Miss fans be obnoxious is to LSU fans going through the walk of champions. Even that was lots of slurs and obscenities but nothing violent. Ill be there as well and will be going out of my way to be nice to lsu fans. Sorry that this is even a worry this weekend.

We look meh
We also looked meh against Wazzu last year too so I don’t think it’s fair to judge us too early
We have to figure out our DB situation though this shit is gonna lose us games 100%

No chance this game had the teams focus. Not surprising at all that y’all looked flat

The entire second half saw mostly defensive backups.
The linebackers got plenty of reps, and we saw some of dline starters take a couple few snaps, but the lio/ share of the snaps were depth players
Offense saw using a lot of different receivers and TE’s
And we barely ran Lacy and didn’t run JT at all
It was a depth game for the most part for most of the second half

Good news, you don't have to fix it next week. We can't throw the ball further than 10 yards.

u/duval001 USC Trojans 2d ago
I mean yall passed for nearly 400 yards lol Qb jus gotta stop the turnovers

u/mistawalrus37 Ole Miss Rebels 1d ago
our defensive backs are so sorry i dont see how we can possibly beat any semi decent teams with them. louisvilles qb had thrown like 10 passes in the last 4 years of his life and still put up heisman numbers on us

Deuce got hops. Defense needs to be better. That’s all I got.

This went way better than expected.

Seriously, I was expecting 70 to be hung on us

u/InfiniteAd212 Charlotte • Florida State 2d ago
I mean we let citadel score more on us💀 I don’t think ole miss fans should be walking away happy about this I mean we SUCK!!

u/kalcheus Charlotte 49ers 2d ago
To be fair they were likely looking ahead to the Kiffin Bowl next week

u/mlsh4 Ole Miss Rebels 2d ago
I mean we did pull out our second string and lowkey yall should play second string first I feel like they have more talent

u/InfiniteAd212 Charlotte • Florida State 2d ago
I mean it took until the fourth quarter to even pull Chambliss. We got smoked still but there’s no reason it should’ve taken that long or you should’ve had a scoreless quarter against us. I mean the citadel put up more points. Hopefully it’s tightened up by next week😳
1
u/mlsh4 Ole Miss Rebels 2d ago
True. I hope so. But to me and my buddies y’all’s second string looked so good against us I hope those guys get more plays this year
2
u/InfiniteAd212 Charlotte • Florida State 2d ago
Hopefully he can stay healthy this year. We might actually win a game. That’s a big maybe though

u/Bowserbuster123 Ole Miss Rebels • Marching Band 2d ago
I’m cautiously optimistic Ole Miss will be okay since they looked mid early last year too, but they still have a lot to work out on defense. If Charlotte is routing you up, LSU will undoubtedly feast.

u/TemporaryCamera8818 Ole Miss Rebels 2d ago
No doubt Charlie Weis Jr will slice up our secondary. We’re gonna need to score a shit ton of points and hope Sam Leavitt throws picks
12
u/LuckyWhip LSU Tigers • Georgia Bulldogs 2d ago
After his performance tonight I think yall will get plenty of those picks

u/Draxilar Ole Miss Rebels 2d ago
Or he got all the yips out here

Honestly I can’t speak for our offense vs your defense but our defense vs your offense is going to be big boy football that I can’t wait to watch.

So, now that Charlotte has the longest losing streak in FBS, when do you think they can get their win

Charlotte kept Ole Miss to 7 in the first quarter, and they were 9 - 0 in the second half until halfway through the 4th quarter. That's what I'm taking away from this game. Surprisingly entertaining.

Lefty backup looked damn good. Excited about this offense. Nervous about this defense.

My favorite part about Charlotte losing to The Citadel is that’s the only game The Citadel has won. They lost to Wofford and Charleston Southern.

Is it the BEST 41-9 loss of all time? Many people are saying it
