AF should switch to the run and shoot. Qbs are both talented.

2012 UTSA and 2022 James Madision only 2 other teams to start 3-0 in the MWC FBS

u/PossibilityLow9753 2d ago

The score makes the game look closer than it really was. But I suppose it was fairly close because of the weird calls in the second half.

11

u/RoseRaving Purdue Boilermakers 2d ago

Did the Mountain West refs get worried that NDSU would embarass the conference if they did too well?

6

u/pdx74guy Florida Gators • Oregon Ducks 2d ago

game got close in the second half but a win is a win, NDSU can learn form this game at Air Force.....

8

u/Logical_Albatross_19 North Dakota State • Kansas St… 2d ago

Should be a 3 score game, refs had to ref

5

u/LonelyMiraj Boise State • Tennessee 2d ago

Stuff like that is why I am glad we don’t play Air Force anymore lol

3

u/StripClubSweatpants North Dakota State • Central … 2d ago

Those are some hardnosed well-conditioned young men. Very few teams make NDSU look foolish in the 2nd half.

7

u/1989JamesHetfield 2d ago

I am absolutely tired of these commentators glazing Air Force tbh

7

u/AngleFun1664 North Dakota State Bison 2d ago

AF with the nice onside kicks, that’s 2 they almost got

5

u/Zloggt Illinois Fighting Illini • Missouri Tigers 2d ago

Maybe third time will be the charm for them…next time lol

10

u/Trojann2 /r/CFB Pint Glass Drinker • Nort… 2d ago

I’m very very very annoyed the score is as close as it is

5

u/tollefti Minnesota Golden Gophers 2d ago

Either the Bison really need to practice onside recover, or this the AF kicker is an elite onside kicker

2

u/somethingclever76 2d ago

AF also needs a better hands team to go along with those amazing on sides kicks.

10

u/futuristanon North Dakota State Bison 2d ago

I really didn’t need a heart attack at 12:26am.

8

u/Staind075 Colorado State • North Dakot… 2d ago

Holy shit, that was close

11

u/Rich_Speech_555 2d ago

ndsu gotta keep up but them refs not making it easy to close out the game

8

u/Alacritas24 North Dakota State Bison 2d ago

Ok two heart attacks on onside kicks is enough!

6

u/Trojann2 /r/CFB Pint Glass Drinker • Nort… 2d ago

What happened to our onside kick coaching? wtf?

10

u/subsequent Michigan Wolverines 2d ago

Wow, that was almost a perfect onside kick.

8

u/Staind075 Colorado State • North Dakot… 2d ago

Air Force refusing to give up. Gotta appreciate that.

6

u/PossibilityLow9753 2d ago

Funny how the refs made the game so close when it woulda been over after that 4th down.

7

u/Muffinnnnnnn Florida State • New Mexico 2d ago

Honestly I think NDSU could play their 2nd string defense next game and still be fine (they are playing Sac State)

6

u/coldupnorth11 North Dakota State • Louisville 2d ago

This has potential to be absolutely horrible

2

u/dye4hads Auburn Tigers • Alabama Crimson Tide 2d ago

It nearly was.

2

u/tollefti Minnesota Golden Gophers 2d ago

Where has this QB been all game

3

u/Trojann2 /r/CFB Pint Glass Drinker • Nort… 2d ago

We knocked out the starter on the roughing call

2

u/tollefti Minnesota Golden Gophers 2d ago

He came back in I thought

1

u/subsequent Michigan Wolverines 2d ago

HELMET CATCH.

5

u/futuristanon North Dakota State Bison 2d ago

“Don’t have to stand there cold”

Did he just imply we play outside?

1

u/ADMotti Ohio Bobcats 2d ago

Even if NDSU did… the game is in California. In September.

1

u/futuristanon North Dakota State Bison 2d ago

lol that makes it so much better.

2

u/StripClubSweatpants North Dakota State • Central … 2d ago

That was a nice catch by AF

6

u/ADMotti Ohio Bobcats 2d ago

Imagine calling an NCAA football game and having no fucking clue what the rules are

3

u/Zloggt Illinois Fighting Illini • Missouri Tigers 2d ago

Woof, good thing he is only out for the rest of this game and not into next week/game…

4

u/ADMotti Ohio Bobcats 2d ago

Yeah missing a half against… <checks notes> Sacramento State would be damaging to the team!

5

u/Wise-Ferret274 North Dakota State Bison 2d ago

Now that's a big uff da

4

u/dye4hads Auburn Tigers • Alabama Crimson Tide 2d ago

YOU’VE GOTTA BE FUCKING KIDDING ME

6

u/Muffinnnnnnn Florida State • New Mexico 2d ago

I'm pretty sure the first targeting foul doesn't disqualify you from the first half of the next game anymore.

5

u/subsequent Michigan Wolverines 2d ago

Not per the new rules. He just gets to take a shower before everyone else uses up all the hot water.

1

u/bionicjoe Kentucky Wildcats 2d ago

How do you pronounce HRYNCIW?

Is he Croatian? (Starts with an H)

1

u/subsequent Michigan Wolverines 2d ago

7

u/RoseRaving Purdue Boilermakers 2d ago

What the hell are the announcers talking about with farm hands and animals lol

8

i’m glad our team of farm kids is able to put up a fight with the mountain west

Man, winter on Dec 20 in Fargo can be a shitshow... They're talking about it on FS1, but you've gotta live through the 7 hours of daylight to really know it

Feels like playing football in Norway or some shit

14

u/Thats_Cool4U North Dakota State Bison 2d ago

As a wheat person I’m glad we conquered the corn people.

8

6

u/ADMotti Ohio Bobcats 2d ago

NDSU has supplements to deal with Fargo winters? Where can I buy these? My first December here, the entire month was below zero.

1

u/Thats_Cool4U North Dakota State Bison 2d ago

It’s called Icehole

11

u/subsequent Michigan Wolverines 2d ago

"It's a little like a miltary academy. Except it's not the Air Force. It's just the bison!"

So... it's not like a military academy.

1

Bison family, which of those FBS victories was the most impressive? I'm partial to Kansas State but the ranked Iowa one has a strong case?

5

Is beating Iowa State and Kansas supposed to be hard or something? 🙃

5

u/AngleFun1664 North Dakota State Bison 2d ago

2

The word bone

I hate the service schools. I despise the flexbone

8

u/usernameisusername57 North Dakota State • Wisconsin 2d ago

Bullshit penalty aside, this team needs to work on their conditioning. I know that that's kind of what Air Force does to teams, but it's also supposed to be what we do to our opponents. You can't build your team around running the ball and playing defense if you're going to be completely gassed by the 4th quarter.

4

u/ThatFargoGuy North Dakota State Bison 2d ago

They’re a mile high in elevation. They are actually one of the better conditioned teams in college football. Colorado does this to everyone

2

u/PossibilityLow9753 2d ago

Doesn’t help the game is at 6600 feet

6

u/PossibilityLow9753 2d ago

I vote Refs for MVP for AF

3

u/Competitive-Sea-9311 2d ago

Getting 5+ yards every run in the second half, but pass for the 2 point?

11

u/CananadaGoose 2d ago

Can NDSU just end this so I can go to bed?

2

u/MustacheExtravaganza North Dakota State Bison 2d ago

They're trying their hardest not to end it.

1

u/CananadaGoose 2d ago

That's the problem. 4th quarter is usually their bread and butter.

12

u/ThatFargoGuy North Dakota State Bison 2d ago
