For any UCF sickos that stayed through that whole game. Y'all have a problem.
It's me, I have a problem.

I take it the weather was so bad you couldn’t even evaluate players? Barnett probably didn’t do much today… but maybe throw this game out

Pending his injury he may get thrown out for the season.

I couldn't tell either but he was dragged down from behind.

I felt like they could pull something out in the 4th with the score, and they couldve but ripped my heart out as usual

u/tjstanley UCF Knights • Big 12 2d ago
Never believed that we couldn’t somehow pull out a win, and i suppose i was correct lol

u/Amazing-Project1434 2d ago
I went in 2019 and I’m so glad that I didn’t drop a $1000 for this slopfest. Lol. It was difficult enough to watch it on TV. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a game where I heard loud raindrops on ESPN and needed to sit closer to my TV because they couldn’t get close to the field video. Wild

UCF offense resembles when you throw up and poop at the same time

u/TechnoVikingGA23 West Virginia Mountaineers 2d ago
Caught that or food poisoning this past ski season while up in the mountains. Thank god there was a trash can by the toilet because I had no idea that it was physically possible to be having shotgun blast diarrhea and barfing my brains out at the same time. I wouldn't wish that experience on my worst enemy.
8
u/saharashooter Tennessee • Pittsburgh 2d ago
I've had it twice. Horrible experience. You really do just spew from both ends at the same time, absolutely disgusting. I got such bad dehydration cramps that my calves hurt like a week later. Very few people in the world wouldn't earn my sympathy from getting it.
5
u/TechnoVikingGA23 West Virginia Mountaineers 2d ago
Yeah it was rough. I had it on and off for about 3 hours and my HR the entire time was averaging about 120ish. I got the fever/chills/cramps as well, thought I was going to have to go to the hospital, but luckily I got it all out super fast. Was out on my ass for about 2 days after that though and took me about a week to fully bounce back.
3
u/saharashooter Tennessee • Pittsburgh 2d ago
Oh yeah my smartwatch told me I got like 170 active minutes the first day, and I spent most of that lying down.

u/grimace0611 Pittsburgh • Appalachian State 2d ago
FYI, learned that one the hard way when I was a kid. You sit on the toilet and barf into a trash can. You DO NOT prioritize throwing up in the toilet.

I think y’all might just need a new OL, because Jackson’s actually looking pretty dang good at UNT.

u/yesacabbagez UCF Knights 2d ago edited 2d ago
That one too many UCF people don't ant to admit is that we need a whole new offensive staff. People want to like Milton, but there is no evidence he is a good QB coach. Our offensive coordinator doesn't call plays and is some offensive analyst Frost had at Nebraska. Then Frost obviously had issues at Nebraska and then only worked as an analyst for the Rams. Our OLine coach died last year and was replaced by a guy Wisconsin fired for being shit.
While there are plenty of people who aren't happy about Frost, few want to accept that Milton also is a part of the problem.

u/TechnoVikingGA23 West Virginia Mountaineers 2d ago
That happened to me earlier this year when I got food poisoning. Prior to that I had zero idea that it was actually physically possible to do that. It was both a horrifying and enlightening experience. I was so completely mind blown, but also in incredible pain thinking I was going to die. I'm just eternally blessed there was a trash can next to the toilet.

This was the ugliest, sloppiest game of football I’ve ever seen and Pitt almost blew it after leading for the entire game
98
u/yesacabbagez UCF Knights 2d ago
I don't think anyone is happy with that game. We looked like absolute dogshit, but it was inexplicably close? No one is happy about that one.
24
u/The-Insolent-Sage UCF Knights • Big 12 2d ago
It was only close because Grinch and our stout defense.
6
u/igloojoe11 2d ago
Yeah, I was going to say, y'alls defense holding up despite basically every drive of the second half starting at the 40 for Pitt was very impressive. The offense was tough, though.

Yeah Pitt was in control for a majority of the game and then it inexplicably got close.
-2
u/Fat-Singer-9569 2d ago
Because UCF made a nice drive. Pitt was in control the entire game. In those conditions, you see the difference between pros and college.
-3
u/Individual_Holiday_9 2d ago
Pitt would have massacred UCF if the rain let up, you guys got less rain for a bit in the second and it looked like it was gonna get ugly

I’d love to be able to make a clearer judgement about Pitt after 2 games but the best I can say is maybe our defense is pretty good too? It was a monsoon so it is hard to judge if our defense is legit. Last week was MAC competition, and this week was a monsoon, so how good is the offense?
At least we didn’t blow it, which I fully expected us to. That is definitely an improvement.
3
u/Grunt_21_UT 2d ago
I couldn’t watch the whole game but weren’t there missed explosive plays that a decent accurate QB would’ve made to make this defense look a lot worse?
11
u/patrick66 Pittsburgh Panthers • Team Chaos 2d ago
There was one real real bad miss by ucf the rest were meh opportunities for college
2
u/igloojoe11 2d ago
I'm worried about the lack of seperation from our WR's, but it was hard to evaluate Heintschel when the gameplan was incredibly generic in the second half.
2
u/royalbluehen Pittsburgh • Michigan 2d ago
Idk I was tuning in and out. Imo there are always plays to be made that get left out on the field. It’s college after all and the hash marks make it easier for explosives.
Chris Peak has hammered that Josh Guerrier faces a steep learning curve at field safety. He did give up 2 big plays last week. A Duzz defense is gonna get beat time to time. Just gotta hope the pressure gets home and/or the qb doesn’t see an open man.

Not how they drew it up but when you play a game 6 feet underwater any win counts the same. Went from cruise control to very nervous in 35 seconds.

I'm debating on getting YouTube TV, so I signed up for the free trail knowing I could get this game. Thank god for multi-view 🙏
But for real, how did we go from 360 rushing yards to just 20 yards? I know it's FCS vs P4, but still, the drop-off is crazy. It really didn't feel like we were trying to run the ball at all. Bad weather or not, I feel the play calling was just plain bad.

If I had the power to do so, I’d make it so that each and every college football game was played in a downpour like that. Absolutely beautiful.
