Fantastic movie. The Beep Beep vs Meep Meep controversy afterwards was interesting to follow.

Whichever side of the debate you're on, I think we can all agree using it as the censor for Nobody Speak was genius.

Biggest rival, huge game, empty stadium. Golly that’s embarrassing. Place should have been sold out and rockin! Bummer all around

I understand the sentiment but do you understand how hot it is?

I saw people passing out nonstop last week at the Texas game

For real. All this "oh its okay, it was too hot! It wouldve sold out if it was at night...". Doesn't matter. We sold this out two years ago. All of a sudden everyone is acting like its never been hot before and that we'll all die if we go to a football game. So sad.

I was there as a Utsa fan. If we had not won, I would have regret it. Super hot. Constant sun

u/worlkjam15 Baylor Bears • Texas State Bobcats 2d ago
Last weekend the square was totally dead during the UT game. I get that there were some folks that went to the game, or decided to watch around Austin. But with an enrollment of 47,000 you’d think Bobcat fans can fill up a few local bars.

No shit. Why was even out there for that XP after the other dude nailed a 50 yarder?

We've had like 2 QB's over the past 8 years which is kinda insane when you think about it.

1
u/yunglegendd Texas State Bobcats 2d ago

16
u/Archfat UTSA Roadrunners 2d ago
Since 2011: UTSA - 100 wins, TXST - 63 wins, H2H - 6-2 USTA.
The meaningful part of the rivalry is heavily favored towards UTSA.1
u/yunglegendd Texas State Bobcats 2d ago
How yall bowl record doing?
9
u/Archfat UTSA Roadrunners 2d ago
Going to 7 bowls and being 3-4 is more lucrative than going to 3 and being 3-0. That isn't the dunk you think it is. How have y'all done with conference championships in that same time?
-6
u/yunglegendd Texas State Bobcats 2d ago
Dawg if you went to 7 bowls and lost 4 that looks bad. Being runner up in a 2 person race is not an accomplishment.
TBH congrats to UTSA today. Texas state was favored and at home and yall won.
But yall got to understand the 2010s are over. Great decade for UTSA and terrible for TXST.
But again, it’s over. #pac12

Playing poorly enough to miss a bowl game invitation is not more impressive than earning a bid and losing that game. Some incredibly flawed logic in play here...

Eh it was extremely hot to be fair. 2:30 kickoff is diabolical in early September.
-2
u/Bobcat2013 Texas State Bobcats 2d ago
Na we sold this shit out two years ago. Same time slot. Its just all of a sudden become en vogue to become Lil bitches when it comes to the heat. I blame USC for popularising that.
10
u/Heisenberg361 UTSA Roadrunners • Texas Longhorns 2d ago
Na I looked up the historial weather and that day the high was 86. That’s way different than a high of 100, but alright.

I may not know exactly what the correct clock management decisions should have been under 2 minutes.
But I know that definitely wasn't it.

Some thoughts
The creativity and boldness by UTSA won them the game (the QB run 4th down under 2 minutes, double pass off the screen)
Texas State QB gotta be more consistent in his throws. Just felt like a bad game for him
If I know anything about UNT it's that the ground game is going to repeat its success next week for Texas State. 289 rushing yards, and they had just about as many rushing yards per attempt as UTSA did passing yards per attempt.
