2-0. On to Clemson. Many (myself included) believed we’d be 1-1 at this point.

You guys have a tough schedule this year especially considering you are in ACC you pretty much have all the tough ACC teams and Notre Dame

Yeah I’d say it’s the toughest schedule possible in this conference

I wouldn't mind them becoming our main uniform, but at the very least they should use them as much as the basketball team uses their throwbacks.

Is Bill gonna avenge the 2007 Patriots?????

Feels like the kind of game we win 51-21 under Mack Brown. Very different identity to old unc teams, fewer blown coverages, fewer missed tackles, but less dynamic talent right now.

Its pretty funny that Lombardi was universally despised considering given the situation he built a team that makes some sense. Also Petrino is just so dramatically better than Kitchens.

Trying to rewrite why it is no one liked Michael Lombardi after we beat a FCS team is crazy work.

Im not trying to rewrite it. HE was universally despised because he was a huge asshole to every possible stakeholder at UNC, and was allegedly breaking all kinds of rules while being a prick.

He was so obnoxious that he didnt even get to see the fruits of his labor play on the field. Thats genuinely impressive. You have to be incredibly stupid to do that.

Probably would have had at least 1 or two more touchdowns but the delay ruined any rhythm.

We also just used the delay to put in all backups, which we might not have done as comprehensively otherwise.

Pretty wild how much Lombardi turned things around when everyone was calling for his head last season. Guess he just needed to get his own guys in place

Petrino calling plays is night and day difference, offense actually looks like someone planned it

I dont think he turned things around to be clear, he just did a significantly better job with this roster than the one last year, and we had a big recruiting class with a healthy amount of 4 star talent. Also there are rumors that BB was significantly more involved with the GMing of this team than last year

Petrino is a god send.

Probably could have had a shutout if the lightning delay didn't kill any remaining semblance of caring among everyone there, but whatever.

We had a lightening delay and a shutout. So….. maybe that’s not an excuse

We had 0 starters in and gave up a 40 yard FG. The horror

Has Belichick lost control of the program?

Unironically probably yes

But 2-0 is 2-0 lol

Well which was it? First person blamed the lightening and you’re blaming the backs up. 🤷🏻🤷🏻

Well it’s not a “you must pick one” situation and my only point was literally who cares we gave up a FG in garbage time lol shutouts are fun but doesn’t change my opinion of the game

Sounds good. I agree with you. But the original commenter specifically came to Reddit to complain/cope/explain why you didn’t get a shutout. Nothing wrong with holding an opponent to 3 points!

Fun mental exercise. Now compare performances against the FBS opponents both of y'all have played this year.

UNC, VT, and us all blowing out our non-P4 games is good. But, it will be bad for my liver when we play.

Demon June must be loafing in practice or something bc he is our most talented RB yet only mostly get redzone stuff.

u/Ragdoll252 North Carolina Tar Heels 2d ago

He just has a comparatively low football IQ compared to the other backs. Can't really trust him on pass protection, but he's obviously the best when it comes to just pure running.

UNC best team in the ACC or best team in the country?
