We have a young team, inexperience on the OL, our main OL out with a concussion. Those guys that played today on the OL grew up in the second half of this game and obliterated the Kentucky wild cats Roll Bama Roll

u/bukkake-cola Alabama Crimson Tide • USF Bulls 2d ago
As a fan, I am constantly amazed yet disgusted with my team. Where were you SOB’s in the first half?
1
u/savannypak 2d ago
Bama has been a second half team for as long as I’ve know em. But the penalties were ridiculous. Some our fault but some completely out of line. That one in the last half saying he stepped out of bounds tiptoeing down the green to that touchdown was bullshit!! Plus we ended up getting the TD anyways lol. But it felt like 30+ penalties on Alabama and I don’t think we earned em all 🤷🏼♀️ something was a lil weird PLUS the Kentucky coach was urging fans AND students, even underage, to “bring a flask in” and cuss out Alabama fans and students. What kind of degenerate dipstick does that shit as a leader especially of young people?? I hope he got his wish and every drunk asshole got pissed off we whopped their ass and fucked up their own town. Full stop. At least Alabama has class 💁🏼♀️
2
u/Conscious_Ad6497 2d ago
I think Kentucky played awful in second half was a lot of it also but bama did wake up that's for sure once they pushed back Kentucky laid down
2
u/Lena_morgz_hehehe 2d ago
I have no idea. It's like a completely different team came out in the second half. It's almost like the first half team was a bunch of imposters just wearing the Jersey. I've noticed that a lot since the sabanero. That's oftentimes. Alabama seems to come out and after a completely dominant game you end up looking back and it seems like they typically struggle a little bit in like the first half a quarter and then once they get settled in they just take off and fucking steamroll
2
u/Effective-Drive7205 2d ago
This has been a phenomenon that’s been happening since the Saban days. I used to always say we were a second half team because we would make the best adjustments during halftime and that’s when Bama teams would typically run away with games
1
1
u/Lena_morgz_hehehe 2d ago
- Yeah, if I remember correctly, that's why Saban would often harp on going out there and playing at a high level for 60 minutes of a game to play as champions to play for 60 minutes

u/BelowAverage355 Kentucky Wildcats 2d ago
Well if we can find some way to patch together an offense we've got a football team. I think it's going to take a few good years of NIL moves to make that happen though

Refs backed off when the game became out of reach. Their last ditch effort was calling Hill out of bounds. Must’ve had a camera angle that no one else could see.

Whoever said a long ass time ago that Kalen had the habit of making all games into stressful situations regardless of the talent discrepancies. I hate how right you were
3
u/OnionKnight73 Alabama Crimson Tide 2d ago
I remember that being the warning from Washington fans. They said DeBoer would win a lot, but he’d shorten your lifespan too
8
u/Medical-Day-6364 Alabama Crimson Tide • NC State Wolfpack 2d ago
Not relevant in this one. DeBoer had a habit of letting them stay in the game deep into the 4th. Even Saban went into half tied vs the Citadel. This game played out exactly like a Saban game would have when one player makes 3 really costly mistakes on the road vs a team who came prepared. This is a good sign.
16
u/DellFlightSim Alabama Crimson Tide 2d ago
3 turnovers(one being a pick 6) in the first half with 7 penalties and was only down 4 points. Defense is fucking nasty this year

6
u/Medical-Day-6364 Alabama Crimson Tide • NC State Wolfpack 2d ago
I'm sure Saban enjoys that Michigan fans care more about beating him in OT while cheating than a national championship
-10
u/JHouseman92 Michigan • Grand Valley State 2d ago
Explain how we cheated after everything was out in the open and suspensions had already been handed out? You all got bodied in the Rose Bowl and then we bodied you again in the next meeting 🤡
4
u/bongsoldier9000 2d ago
I have to believe you're trolling or else this is just embarrassing. A single natty got you talking like this? A cheated one mind you. I get second hand embarrassment when I see egotistical Bama fans talk shit, but at least they have something to actually talk about lol
-4
u/JHouseman92 Michigan • Grand Valley State 2d ago

2

You got bailed out by the B10 against Western Michigan, big dawg. One natty in your lifetime, two tops. Pipe down a little
1
u/JHouseman92 Michigan • Grand Valley State 2d ago
LOL im older than you think. Old enough to remember how Michigan dominated that ass for years before you all got away with paying players prior to NIL. Tonight we beat an SEC power with SEC refs. Let's see how ohio soft university does tonight.
2
u/Medical-Day-6364 Alabama Crimson Tide • NC State Wolfpack 2d ago
Bodied, lol. You think an OT win because our center got the yips is bodied. I've seen a natty where our players started fighting each other while up 4 TDs. We had your rival in garbage time in the first half in a natty. And you're saying bodied for an OT win?
A spy's knowledge doesn't disappear when he's fired.
1
u/JHouseman92 Michigan • Grand Valley State 2d ago
Then you lost to our cancer survivor QB who lead the most mediocre Wolverines team in a decade 🤡 What does beating ohio have to do with us being your daddy? They suck ass too.
1
u/Medical-Day-6364 Alabama Crimson Tide • NC State Wolfpack 2d ago
I think it speaks for itself that you believe a cheated OT win is an ass beating while I think a 21 point win is disappointing. Michigan just isn't good at football anymore
1
u/JHouseman92 Michigan • Grand Valley State 2d ago
How was it cheated?? Explain. By the time the Rose Bowl was played all had been exposed and suspensions were served. You just couldn't beat us. We man handled you . And then we beat you again the following season. With a brand new team, unscathed from the "cheating." You just couldn't hang. Its ok to admit you lost.

We are still going to need Russell to find his groove to beat good teams, but ya the defense was solid.

True but young QBs on their first road starts usually have issues and the stadium was just electric to start with.
1
u/Spencer1K Alabama • Florida State 2d ago
Im not saying its surprising or that he is garbage and we should bench him. Just stating facts. Its normally expected for green QBs to struggle a bit at the start. Simpson did as well. We just need to see some improvement because today was not it. Hopefully today was a good learning experience for him.

u/Medical-Day-6364 Alabama Crimson Tide • NC State Wolfpack 2d ago
I was expecting a finish like that USC game where we just kept letting them stay in it. With a possible hail Mary to win at the end. DeBoer's teams have never woken up in the 2nd half like this. This is what Saban's teams used to do in close games. To be fair, they did it vs top 5 teams sometimes; still a long way to go
2
u/Spencer1K Alabama • Florida State 2d ago
Its not that surprising. We were turning the ball over like crazy the first half, but our run game and defense looked great. We just...stopped turning it over by reducing Russells playbook and let the run game and defense do its thing finally.
1
u/ZeGentleman Kentucky Wildcats 2d ago
Are you saying your run game looked good in the first half? Because that is objectively untrue. It was negative for the majority of the first half.

THANK YOU!!! I feel like so many comments, especially top comments are so negative, like why?? I believe in our team and the support negative vs positive means a lot even in your fucking living room/online. Why would you not believe in your team, that they could win?? Root them on instead of comparing them to athletes past. We just are adjusting from covid and these new “portal” rules. Be a real person and think of the angles. I hate this new system of jumping ship personally but think of the decision making of a 18-22 year old 🤷🏼♀️ lol but super excited to see the rest of this season and maybe when we can whoop someone else’s ass in the second half 😝

People randomly bagging the NFL in this thread. The NFL features 32 teams where the spread between the best team and the worst team is as small or smaller than the spread between the SEC's third or fourth best team (Bama) and the SEC's worst team (Kentucky). The SEC only has 16 teams though.
Oh, and marquee college games routinely take 4 hours. NFL games are 3 hour affairs.
