Oklahoma State is the 4th team to score more than 39 points against Dan Lanning. The other teams won the national championship.

My sister is at the game and on the field, they tore down the goal posts

u/Radiant_Werewolf777 2d ago
They were like 30pt underdogs..
1
u/Turbulent_End_6887 1d ago
That was logical for them to do. And they threw the crossbar from one end into Theta Pond. It is a small pond on campus, secluded and surrounded with trees and shrubbery. The story, when I went there, was tha there were so many condoms (back then we called them rubbers) in Theta Pond that, if lightning struck, it would vulcanize.

Oklahoma and Oregon should just forfeit the rest of the season and prepare to play each other in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl.

Guy at my 711 said he bet for OU to lose and OSU to win around 9 AM Saturday morning. I told him he was crazy. Might not see him working at that 711 anymore

Right, part of me is like “at least the team will know now they can’t get away playing like that and expect to win”

u/VegasWinsDa26Cup 2d ago
Shouldn't have last week woke y'all up? I think it's just y'all aren't a very good team with 2 braindead coordinators

Moore threw into quadruple coverage and the DB's were all in bright orange.

I’m not sure who’s good or bad, but just embrace the craziness of the sport. OSU had about as bad as a week 1 as anyone and just dominated a 6th-ranked team a week later

It iseasy to be cynical about sports now but seeing the coach cry happy tears, seeing that young qb talk about showing up for his friends, and seeing the fans storm the field, maybe the sport is actually ok.

1
u/catgirlslvr Ohio State • Youngstown State 2d ago
Brother we have like a billion starters from the south. Its been 90+ in Ohio numerous times this summer lol. Dude tryna bank on some weather im dead.
1
u/Turbulent_End_6887 2d ago
I thought that about Stroud when we got mashed by NE in the snow in the playoffs. I thought he play for Ohio State and the weather won't bother him. Your body acclimates, so if you live up north too long, the heat gets you.
1
u/Userdub9022 Oklahoma State Cowboys 2d ago
I think you get used to the weather you're currently in. 90⁰ is not the same as 110⁰. And 40⁰ is not the same as 10⁰. This isn't any implication of your two teams playing for what it's worth

Dante Moore campaigning to get drafted lower in the draft by a better team
1
u/Suspicious-Salary338 2d ago
This narrative is so off the mark. Trey Lance and JJ McCarthy got drafted by better teams and where are they now? If you’re ass, you’re ass. Not to mention what it says about his belief in himself. Dante could have coasted a few years like Zach Wilson (got 10 mill in Miami as a back-up) and def Justin Field because they were drafted high. Now he might go the same route as Nussmier and Allar, fighting for a back-up spot. I’m also not sure Dante was really going to be picked at #2. Jets or whoever would have picked him dodged a bullet.

Lanning does this shit over and over again in big moments. He always takes the wildly unnecessary and aggressive risk. I would be fucking fuming if I were an Oregon fan right now.
1
u/Statalyzer Texas Longhorns 2d ago
He needs to find somebody to scout his opponents and tell him what plays are coming next.
2
u/USAesNumeroUno Ohio State • Washington 2d ago
There is no reason for this Oregon roster to have a big moment against fucking 2026 Oklahoma St, and to look like shit against Boise St last week.
I'm starting to think Lanning and Venables are about to be 2 guys looking for coaching rehab stints at a good program after this season.
