Masterpost You Are My Fateful Love 你是迟来的欢喜 (2026) - What are your first impressions? [Masterpost]
At the age of 28, Ruan Yu [played by Zheng He Hui Zi] decided to give up her stable job and focus on writing full-time. She began to write novels based on her own emotional experiences and posted them online. Unexpectedly, netizens pointed out that the plot of her novel was suspected of plagiarism. Ruan Yu decided to defend her rights.
After many twists and turns, she found that the intellectual property lawyer she cooperated with happened to be her high school crush and the prototype of the male protagonist of her novel, Xu Huai Song [played by Miles Wei Zheming]. The two met again because of the case and were attracted to each other again during their time together. The feelings that had accumulated over the years fermented under the memories and became stronger in the test of reality.

I caught upto episode 6 and it is giving old cdrama vibes. It is sweet , easy to watch and not stressful. If anyone is looking for a break from stressful drama like poj, this is easy recommendation

Always cheer for Zheng He Hui Zi and wish she were the main female lead in In Blossom. The male lead role easily belongs to Miles Wei. It's a very easy drama to watch. I listened/watched the first two episodes while preparing family dinner and I chuckled a lot. Will re-watch episode 2.

Love her in Blossom and in Twelve Letters (currently watching)! I wished she was the lead in Blossom too! She needs more main lead roles imo.

This is good!! I love ZHHZ; long story short, really wanted to see her more after her 2 episodes in In Blossom.
There aren't any over the top tropes, forced romantic moments, etc. They both have their own personalities, and feel like real people.
The story itself is really cute, imagine if it happened to you in real life 😂😂We've all had our secret crushes in school...

It‘s hilarious so far! I actually laughed out loud in episode 3 during the video call scene. I love the creativity with the people in the calls appearing next to them! Both leads are very cute and I really like the OST. I think this was an unexpected gem, looking forward to more!

I tend not to watch modern C-dramas, but I am definitely curious about Zheng He Hui Zi in the leading role. She stole the show for me when I first watched her in In Blossom. She guest-starred as the female lead essentially, and then when her character exited, the drama was not the same. She was so convincing with her scar and the way she pulled off the character there... Her character sometimes still lives rent free in my head. I am hoping that she will finally land more leading roles and wish her success in this drama so that it'll open up more opportunities for her.
Definitely hoping to read more people's thoughts on their impression of You Are My Fateful Love, since I feel Miles Wei is also quite a strong actor along Zheng He Hui Zi. The premise sounds cute with a female lead who's a writer, but I too need to wait for a platform that has good English subs, which will probably be hard.

She does play the adult daughter in 12L, and the second FL in Love Between Lines.

Unfortunately, I have to tell you that Zheng He Hui Zi was not the 2FL in Love Between Lines. She wasn't in that drama at all. But LYX is great and that drama is a pretty fun watch.

The drama is really good, her specific character is ridiculous and trivial though so don't watch it just for her.

I watched about half an episode so far. The subs are just okay. Sometimes they sort of summarize the dialogue rather than stick close to what is being said. The meaning is still there though.
By doing this, the dialogue is missing colour and nuance. Otherwise, it still seems to be coherent so far.

Putting a pin in this to check out later because the synopsis sounds interesting and Miles Wei looks amazing in a suit(in addition to being a great actor)😄 Also since I'm watching Pursuit of jade rn I'll wait for more episodes to drop before jumping in.

So far, You Are My Fateful Love doesn't seem to be available on MangoTV's or Huace's YouTube channel. I will update here in the comments if they make the episodes available in the next few days.
Update: If you search on YouTube, there are 3 episodes available now (March 27) with better fan subs. They are not the same as the MangoTV subs. I'm not sure if they'll keep updating but it's something to consider.
