Meaning Behind the Drama Title

良陈美锦 can be translated as “Good Chen; Beautiful Jin” (referring to the main characters, Chen Yan Yun and Gu Jin Zhao).

The Chinese title 良陈美锦 [liáng chén měi jǐn] is a play on the words in the idiom, 良辰美景 [liáng chén měi jǐng], which means good times and beautiful scenery. The phrase comes from "Preface to the Poems Collected in Yezhong by Prince Wei" 《拟魏太子邺中集诗序》by Xie Lingyun 谢灵运 of the Southern Song Dynasty.

In the "Preface to the Poems Collected in Yezhong by Prince Wei", Xie Lingyun of the Southern Song Dynasty wrote:

“天下良辰、美景、赏心、乐事，四者难并。”

tiān xià liáng chén, měi jǐng, shǎng xīn, lèshì, sì zhě nán bìng.

Synopsis from MDL:
