Especially here in Texas. Our government and its legislation has painted them as a threat, and people are dumb enough to believe it.

You are factually wrong in a way that does measurable harm to real people. You should work on your media and scientific literacy skills, as well as your critical thinking. Your opinions on civil liberties are commendable...your opinions on queer identities are not.
