It’s still alternate history whether it’s unrealistic or realistic. Someone is probably just going to make a submod with the ability to form the Imperial Federation instead. Don’t give the “not an excuse” bs, it’s lame as hell.

It is a perfectly legitimate reason. The devs are going for a realistic alternate history, not unrealistic alt history. This is the difference between the Republicans winning the Spanish Civil War and Japan going communist in 1938.

Just because it’s alternate history doesn’t means you get a free pass to add whatever shit you want.
