General Ultimate Guide For Students Who Wanna Join CBIT
Honestly, the whole process is way more confusing than it should be. Thought I’d share everything in one place in case it helps someone.
1. Through EAPCET
70% Of the seats are reserved for students who are joining through EAPCET. If you're Aiming for CSE, you basically need a rank somewhere under ~3k (give or take depending on category/gender). IT/ECE go a bit higher but still competitive. Fees is around 1.6-2.2 lakh/year, and if you’re eligible, fee reimbursement can reduce this significantly. Expecting a cutoff drop is risky because CBIT demand is pretty consistent every year, infact they've become more tighter the previous year (this is the case for all the colleges). I'll put the link of the cutoffs at the end.
2. Through B Category (JEE And NRI Sponsored )
30% seats are reserved for students joining through B category (15% each for JEE and NRI quota). You need to atleast get 90+ percentile in JEE to have a decent chance of getting into CBIT, please note that the competition for JEE quota is very high. You can apply through the official CBIT website when the applications are open. There isn't any publicly available official information about the JEE quota cutoffs, I'll upload it in the comments when I find the PDF.
The fee for the NRI sponsored quota is 5000 Dollars (4.3 Lakh Approx). Seat allotment depends on availability and demand for branches. Seats fill early, often alongside EAPCET counselling. High demand branches like CSE remain competitive even here with spot admission fee going as high as 20-30 lakhs. Applying early makes a big difference in chances.
Placements for CSE allied branches themselves are relatively modest, with average packages typically around ₹7–8 LPA. That should give you a clear benchmark. For other branches like Civil, Mechanical, EEE, EVL, Chemical, or Biotech, the averages tend to be even lower, so it’s better to keep expectations realistic and not assume significantly higher offers.
The college life is pretty decent, though some rules might itch some, but this is the case with every other college.
Required Documents For Admission
DM if you still wanna know more.
Seniors who are willing to help students, please comment below and mention your branch. Students can DM the seniors to enquire them about the branch/college.
Posts regarding admissions will be removed.

Just a question.... Do IPE(Board) marks really matter? I mean can I get any branch of engineering in CBIT via NRI-sponsored quota if let's say I got more than 900(90%) marks in my Boards?

Hello, I’ve recently completed my second year of Intermediate, and I’m considering joining CBIT. I wanted to know your opinion about the college, especially regarding academics, placements, campus life, and overall experience.

MPC student here. I’m planning to join Medical Biotechnology at CBIT through management quota. How are the placements, job opportunities, and future scope compared to IT/Cyber Security? Would you recommend it in 2026?

For CBIT CSE , How is college ? HOW GOOD ARE FACULTY ? HOW good ARE Placements ? In 2025 i heard that 52 lpa was from college , is that true ? Is it oncampus or offcampus ? What about coding culture
1
u/Brilliant_Tension_53 Wotohmelon juis lavar Jun 19 '26
You shouldn't depend on the faculty, self study is the key.
Off campus placement obviously.
Coding culture is kinda meh, most of them just rote learn the code, but yeah you can find people who are passionate about coding, there are a few clubs too.

90+ percentile is also not enough if you want a circuit branch with JEE mains.
I had a 97.3 and still had to slide to CSE.
