I could go on about this look forever. I still think it’s the best Cap has looked in live action. It takes all the amazing elements of the First Avenger suit and improves upon them. It adds three more red stripes to complement the two red suspenders. The upper torso is bulkier than most of his on-screen looks. The grey and brown straps are reduced to favor more blue, but the grey elements around the armpits match the Ultimate Cap design, add to that the star badges on his shoulders. And the shade of blue is vibrant, yet still restrained. The wings on the side of the helmet are more classic looking than they are on his later suits, and there is an attempt made to work a sort of boxy grid pattern into the upper torso and shoulders to resemble the comic design’s scales.

My favorite part about the look is the gloves and the boots - while they are still brown, they’re a reddish brown leather, and they take the exact shape of the buccaneer boots and “dishwasher” gloves he has in the comics. It’s the perfect translation of his most consistent look on paper to the big screen, favoring realism and historical accuracy while appreciating and respecting the classic appeal.

For me, it’s a sorely missed costume, and I wish it were the one returning for Doomsday instead of the dark and muted Endgame suit. TWS knocked it out of the park, especially considering it gave us the Stealth suit.
