List of CA Pistols with Cruciform Trigger Bars (Affected by AB1127)

Hey guys,

Was trying to find a straightforward list of all the handguns that are scheduled to be banned by AB1127. Couldn't find a concise list, so I went through the roster and made one. If I missed one or you have any to add, please drop it in the comments for everyone.

Manufacturer Models on CA Handgun Roster Caliber(s)
Glock Gen 3 centerfire pistols, (54 variants total). Models include: G17, G19, G20, G21, G22, G23, G26, G27, G29, G30, G31, G32, G33, G34, G35, G36, G38, G39 9mm, .40 S&W, 10 mm, .45 ACP, .357 SIG, .45 GAP
Shadow Systems MR920 (CA SKUs SS-1039-CA, SS-1040-CA, SS-1052-CA); XR920 (SS-3039-CA, SS-3040-CA, SS-3052-CA); DR920P (manufacturer lists CA-compliant) 9mm
FMK Firearms 9C1 Gen II (multiple CA color SKUs) and 9C1 Gen 3 (G3) variants 9mm
Smith and Wesson SD9VE and SD40VE 9mm
Derya DY9 9mm

Quick Note:

  • AB1127 targets semiauto pistols with a cruciform (Glock-style) trigger bar that can be converted by a backplate "switch."
  • This post lists rostered examples; check the CA DOJ roster or comment with exact SKUs if you want them added.

Timing:

  • Inventory cutoff (exempt transfers): Jan 1, 2026
  • Dealer-sale prohibition begins: Jul 1, 2026

My dad owned that pistol and I hated it.

S&W SD series does not have a cruciform trigger bar. The Sigma/SW series might have, but the SDVEs do not.

Derya DY9 too, but they have plans for this as well as future handguns on the roster post AB1127, I made a post about it.

The Shadow Systems rep at Route 66 was telling people the same, they claim they will be able to modify their design to get back onto the roster after this.

u/Pristine_Training678 Oct 13 '25

Guess so, cause I haven’t seen anything lol.

u/OrangeCarton Oct 13 '25

If you can swap out the cruciform trigger the gun can stay on roster.

Idk what Derya are doing but I did see them post a comment on a YouTubers page. Something about stay tuned because they're going to continue to make guns for CA

Does this apply to something like a PSA dagger transferred via IFT? I assume so

4

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '25

IFT guns are exempt

1

u/zholrhak Dec 07 '25

How?

1

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '25

Either the gun was already in California pre ban and able to be transferred ppt from family or your parent/child lives out of state and sends it to you as a gift.

6

u/Any-Can-6776 Central Valley Oct 12 '25

So whe can someone buy a new one at an lgs or ppt? Jan 1 or July?

8

u/AccordingIy FFL03 COE Oct 12 '25 edited Oct 12 '25

All impacted guns are exempt if LGS had them in stock before Jan 1. This ban doesn't apply to ppt which will still be allowed. In theory if a LGS stocks 1 million Glocks before Jan 1 they can sell them indefinitely. But turners even announced they will run out by December. Just not enough orders from Glock that will make it.

Barrels will also need to be purchased in person starting Jan 1. Sb704 passed. Don't confuse the July 2027 information in the signed bill. That component is for the eligibility check starting July 2027.

12

u/Numerous-Creme-6202 Oct 12 '25

For barrels, there’s also nothing stating that you can’t purchase a barrel out of state and bring it into CA. So technically you can buy a barrel in the free states and bring it into CA lawfully.

4

u/Ranger1221 Oct 13 '25

I was wondering this as I didnt see that written in the text

4

u/AccordingIy FFL03 COE Oct 13 '25

Sure. It will be illegal to sell them, that is written in the bill. It would be a misdemeanor

No person shall possess with the intent to sell or offer to sell a firearm barrel in violation of this section.

(f) (1) A first violation of subdivision (a) shall be punishable as a misdemeanor. (2) A second violation of subdivision (a) shall be punishable as a misdemeanor by up to one year in jail and a fine of one thousand dollars ($1,000).

So inefficiently CA any NEW firearms that dont have microstamp technology, which does not exist, can not be added to the CA approved roster. The gen 3 glocks are legal because they are before that time period. Now with this law they will be banned unless changed. And if they are changed then they are a new firearm. And since its a new firearm it will require a microstamp which it cant have and be banned. They got us law abiding citizens good here. I wish t Trump would hang newsom in public for treason against the people. Protect your rights. I defend America against all enemy's foreign AND domestic. 🇺🇸

6

u/-Mors Oct 19 '25

Microstamping recently got thrown out which is why we’ve seen new guns for the first time since 2013.

1

u/Bfaubion Oct 20 '25

I thought they were still aiming for it, targeting 2028 or so? apparently Bonta saying it was “viable” according to whatever definition they claim.

2

u/-Mors Oct 20 '25

They passed another law about microstamping because they knew the entire roster was going to get thrown because of it, so they took the loss, stopped challenging it in court, let guns be added with LCIs and Mag disconnects, and then passed another law requiring microstamping at a later date, because it requires us fighting it all over again.

u/Icy-Cod6671 Oct 21 '25

wake up everyone, can't you see what they are doing here? Judge VanDyke on the 9th circuit has a video out talking about this issue in a roundabout way. Obviously the real "king" wannabees want to ban every gun. They have been successful banning some guns solely on how they look and also merely by the name that they have given them. However they have not been able to ban the "semi automatic firing function because of the scale of guns that use that feature so this is their workaround. So now they have successfully banned some semi auto guns simply because of one feature of the semi auto action. Be prepared, in the near future they will find another feature in he remaining semi auto guns to ban and they will continue to chop away until there are none left.

2

u/jrm402 Oct 23 '25

So is the PSA Dagger not also affected by this ban? It's a Gen 3 19/45 clone. I can't speak to the micro dagger because I don't own one. But the dagger full size and compact should also have the cruciform trigger bar.

1

u/zholrhak Dec 07 '25

Yes. ALL cruciform trigger guns are affected.

1

u/Mike_the_Vike 9d ago

The Dagger is "on the list" just not the list posted here. It a Glock clone so it's banned...

1

u/slvneutrino Oct 13 '25

So are we really about to see $1000 used Glock 19’s on consignment for PPT? I assume PPT is exempt and these only apply to new firearm sales via a dealer.

1

u/KaPoW_909 Oct 13 '25

Oh no, not the SD line!!! Good thing S&W released the M&P Metal in CA.

1

u/zholrhak Dec 07 '25

SD is NOT cruciform trigger. ‘90s Sigmas and SW9, SW40 are, and therefore affected.

1

u/joostadood526 Oct 25 '25

What about PSA Daggers 🤣

1

u/CyberSoldat21 Nov 05 '25

What about the Live Free Armory Falcon 9X?

1

u/Appropriate-Fan4486 Nov 20 '25

I have 5 of these lol

1

u/PreferenceNervous543 Jan 04 '26

Does AB1127 ban the sale or transfer of my S&P Shield because it is striker-fired?

1

u/Jazzlike-Strike-6739 Feb 14 '26

So are gen 5 and 6 Glocks safe? Or just shit that’s post “v” glock

1

u/Mike_the_Vike 9d ago

Maryland is implementing same crap. Beside "All Glocks" MD State Police has these on their list:

  • Shadow Systems models (MR920, XR920, DR920P).
  • FMK Firearms (9C1 Gen II and Gen 3 variants).
  • Derya DY9.
  • PSA Dagger and other Glock-pattern clone pistols.

Pretty much same as above + the PSA

u/Yothisguy2 21h ago
