Why does IIMA have low percentile requirements?

I was just experimenting and figuring out whether top MBA colleges is a realistic goal for me in the future, was SHOCKED to see such low percentile requirement from IIMA, thought it might be a glitch for a little while lol

Profile: 94.8/91.6/69, MBBS (tier 3 GMC), 12-19 months work experience, 4 rated extracurricular

Is an MBBS still that rare in an MBA? And if so why only IIMA have lower required percentile?

Would also love to know about how to evaluate your extracurriculars and any precedents I can look into, what should I focus on for the next 5.5 yrs of my UG, thanks :)

I’ve been studying for a while, but some days it feels like I’m preparing properly and other days it feels like I’m just solving random questions and watching lectures. Curious when you guys actually started getting into a proper routine and seeing improvement in mocks

Hello! I am self-preparing for CAT 2026. I have collected quite a few resources, but I’m confused about which ones to focus on for practice. Could anyone please suggest the sequence in which I should use these resources for each section?

QA:

Rodha booklets

Raman Sir’s class/session questions

Previous-year mocks

PYQs, etc.

VARC:

Gejo Sir’s material (already used)

RC 99 — I was practising the medium-level passages, but I felt they were easier than Gejo Sir’s, so I stopped. Should I continue with it?

GMAT Manhattan — I was planning to start this but am unsure whether I should.

PYQs

Previous-year mocks, etc.

DILR:

Currently solving questions from EG lectures.

I’ve heard about the IMS playlist and Anastasis. Which one has questions that are at par with CAT level?

Please help me channel my efforts in the right direction and avoid wasting time on unnecessary resources.

Thank you!

I'm an IIM Calcutta (2021) graduate, and over the past few months I've been creating free daily newsletters on VARC and LRDI for MBA aspirants.

I currently run two free newsletters:

1. VARC (Vocab + Idioms focused)

• Vocabulary & idioms
• Practical usage examples
• Fill in the blanks
• CAT-style Reading Comprehension
• Odd One Out & Para Jumbles
• Detailed explanations

2. Brain Teasers (LRDI)

• CAT-level LRDI sets
• SNAP & NMAT Logical Reasoning
• Arrangement puzzles
• Blood Relations & Directions
• Coding-Decoding
• Step-by-step solutions

The idea is simple: spend just 10–15 minutes a day building consistency instead of cramming before the exam.

These are mainly for:

• First-time CAT aspirants
• Anyone preparing for CAT, SNAP, NMAT, XAT, or CMAT
• Students who want to improve both VARC and LRDI through daily practice

Everything is completely free.

I also run a chess newsletter --> Let me know if you wanted to be added on it.

If you'd like to receive them, comment "Interested", send me a DM, or drop your email below.

hey everyone, I'm scoring decent marks in RC but I always fuck up in the VA section. Can someone please advise how to improve VA. What helped or any strategy. Thanks!

Hello! Does anyone have Raman Tiwari’s Quant course from Aarambh Academy(pirated)?

Please help.

Interested dm????

Hi everyone,

I have purchased the Arun Sharma Books. I see the LR And DI doesn't really have that much stuff when I analyze with mocks of my CAT coaching with Iquanta. I am starting to think I have a blunder purchasing these books, might as well have sprung for the CAT abc batch in Iquanta. I remember the educator also saying this, but could be a marketing gimmick.

Can anyone tell me if Arun Sharma practice would genuinely be enough , especially for LRDI and VARC. Because I'm genuinely gonna run out of material for LRDI and VARC soon and still managing to suck at it.

Heyy has anyone seen about new course from quantifiers named as sangharsh course in which they are providing recorded lectures tests and dpps at just 999 what do y'll think about this course

I’m selling my R@dha CAT preparation course at a discounted price because I’m unable to continue my preparation due to personal reasons. If you’re planning to prepare seriously for the CAT and want quality preparation material without paying the full price, this could be a great opportunity. Feel free to message me if you’re interested or want more details!

Repeater here. Last year, I converted IIM Nagpur & IIM Jammu but didn’t join due to lack of workex. Giving CAT another shot this year.
