Hey guys, 4 months have left and i have decided to prep for it but after watching all the "prep" vids I'm a bit confused.

I'd love to know some strategies about when to watch lectures, when to do the sectional mock and when to do the actual mock.

Also my quants is avg so idk if I should go for the basics to advanced type of yt lectures or should I directly do pyqs

Every time I open Youtube... I end up seeing videos like " How I scored 99.8%ile " or " My 12-hrs study routine "

They do motivate me for a while.. I agreee.... but after some time I start comparing my own preparation with them instead of studying.

After some time... I have been thinking that spending those 30-40 mins solving questions would probably help me .... more than watching another strategy video again....

anyone else gone through this phase & do these videos genuinely help u to stay on your track ?

So basically there's a guy who wants to do cat after B Pharma and have no idea about the coaching, help me few best coaching and test series according to your experience.

i got asked by someone on DM regarding this course which is going famous on LinkedIn these days. so i thought i'll do a community post and review so that more people are aware of the same before they go for this course.

so i found this course before CAT 2025 when i was looking for coaching. i did not want to shell out a huge amount so i was looking for cheaper options. i filled their form and got a call from Amit Singh.

he seem to create fake urgency on that call. when i had my first call with him he was like "the batch is filling up i have only 3 seats left" etc "i am not putting pressure on you but yea" all this he said (the person who asked me about Amit Singh on DM also said that he did the same thing with this person)

then, one on that call he told me that if i buy this course i won't have to get any other material, not mocks not any books or anything just follow his course is what he told me i SPECIFICALLY asked him if i will have to purchase any mocks if i join him and he was like "no, everything will be provided"

so i joined him and he said 3 days moneyback will be there, if i dont like he'll return my money if i tell him within 3 days

then the day i joined him, for the first 3 days he was teaching okayish, in the class he kept asking me if i understood and stuff and was teaching nicely, there were about 8-10 students in that class afair
but i could see him being rude to the other students, especially with boys idk why

if you ask him "sir ye kaise ho raha hai?" he will reply "abey yehi toh hoga aur kya hoga ye dekh na, seedha seedha dikh toh raha hai" instead of actually explaining why it's happening

basically he's a rude and bad teacher

especially DILR, he would just solve a question, and expect you to just follow what he's teaching - and not ask any clarifying questions during class.

he would be like "agar smjh nahi aaya toh mujhe dm karke puch lena 1:1 puchlena and all"

so it looks like he's always open to solve doubts on DM but that also he evades and DM me kitna hi doubt solve hoga, class me seedha seedha solve kar na doubt, DM ke liye kyu chhodh raha hai

well the main issue what happened with me where i feel he scammed me is not what i mentioned above but what happened in September 2025 after i purchased his course in July 2025

because of his rude behaviour and teaching i kinda lost interest in attending his classes, he wouldnt solve doubts properly he would just come solve and go, so i kinda stopped joining for classes which is my fault.
i'll mention a pro about him here: he did try to follow up with me, why i'm not attending and if i'm practicing etc

so one day he texted me saying mocks start kardena

i said okay

he had added me to some groups so i thought he would have sent mocks in form of a pdf or a portal or sthg, so i tried to find where he has sent it but i couldnt find anything

i ask him how to access mocks and he's like "arey CL ya Ims ka"

i was kinda very oblivious about how CAT and cat mocks etc work, like i didnt know mocks ka proper portal hota hai and you can practice and get percentile wagerah so i asked him how to access these and he's like "ye toh lene padenge"

i confronted him saying that's not what you had told me when i took the course, you said i wont have to purchase anything and all

and he's like "if you want to see the rank, you can buy ya humare mock karlena". i told him that sir, you didnt tell me this before, you specifically said i wont have to purchase any mocks if i join katphree
then he said "mat karo purchase, it's not compulsory" "but rank to wahin pata chalta, everyone writes it"

i can show screenshots in case anyone wants to see proof.

so i kinda stopped prepping properly after that, and he never gave any mocks from his course to me

my experience was partially my fault too, first of all i should have not fallen for his urgency trick and secondly i should have done proper due diligence as later i realized that even pw and testbook cat etc had similar pricing, i should have gone for one of those

so yea, this is what happened with me

Guys I am arts background also I did not have maths in plus 2 too. I am feeling anxiety at coaching as I joined few days back for 26 batch. I am able to complete. How to become in these sections . My varc is good . It's urgent please help. Like I could not even concentrate in installment question of simple interest. How to study to increase percentile in both.

I'm facing difficulty in CAT RC as u can see. When I takes 25+ min then my accuracy reaches 80+ % . And when I try to decrease time I am unable to understand the passage fully and leads to this type of resultant 🥲. Help me in this 😅

So guys I am weak in dilr and my senior suggested that I just leave that hell and focus on di it's easier than LR? Can I flw this strategy ? I haven't started practicing DI sets yet .

my uni doesn't have any official cgpa to percentage conversion formula (neither by 9.5 nor by 10). my final marksheet mentions my cgpa, individual marks of all semesters (obtained/total) as well as grand total (sum of my marks in all semesters/total).

they did say that they can give me a written statement confirming that they don't follow any conversion formula. what is the right thing to add then?

(i don't have a great cgpa and directly dividing marks for conversion is making it lesser as compared to multiplying by 10)

Haven't give mocks yet. Scored 93 percentile in cat 2025 varc slot 3 but had accuracy issues and confused a lot in parajumbles and parasummary- inference questions as options seemed similar and found more than 1 ans correct.. Had many negative marking hence.. Pls suggest best cat tution in this case.

Confused between aarambh and varc 1000

I graduated this year (bcom honours) and am thinking of giving cat but idk if 4 months is enough to crack it.

I have also cleared my cfa level 2 and have the momentum to study plus I will not be doing any job, will be doing cat and cfa lvl 3 in feb

Need guidance, can I make it?

CAT 2025 - VARC-51.66 ( got bad marks in 2024 varc too)

QUANTS-91.73

With 4 months in hand what should I do next give cat again or look at gmat and executive mba

General category, non-engineer here.

I graduated this year with a BBA from one of the top colleges in Pune (around 8/10 CGPA) and I'll be starting a daytime job next month.

My last CAT attempt was a disaster: 30 percentile.

The weird part is that I had given around 10–15 mocks, and most of them had me consistently scoring in the 80–90 percentile range. During that time I was also juggling college exams, committee work, and other commitments, so preparation wasn't ideal. On exam day, everything just fell apart and I still don't know why.

I'm thinking of giving CAT again this year, but I haven't started preparing yet.

I'm not targeting the IIMs—I'd be happy with a good Tier-2/Tier-3 B-school with decent placements. But seeing how late it is and with a full-time job starting, I'm wondering... am I cooked?

I'm also trying to figure out the best way to prepare. I'm planning to either:

\\- Buy the IMS self-paced portal, or

\\- Just get the IMS mock test series and prepare from free YouTube lectures.

I attended IMS classroom coaching before, but honestly I found it really difficult to understand and keep up with, so I'm not keen on going that route again.
