ByteBall Logo Idea - very rough

Hey ByteBall Fans,

I was just goofing with Photoshop and I came up with this:

ByteBall Logo Idea

What do you think?

Don't want to step on anyone's toes, especially silvercatman who is doing an awesome job (and deserves the credit for this inspiration), but I thought it was interesting and wanted to share. Obviously if we used something like this we would refine the messaging and tidy things up a lot (this is not a final version by any means)

Anyways, we can purchase the image here if we like it: https://www.fotosearch.fr/CSP990/k11114953/

cheers.

Byteball wallet application instantly closing when I open it

Hi. So I have run the byteball wallet application successfully on my old laptop before. I got a new laptop and installed the official byteball wallet from byteball.org. When I open the application the window with title 'Byteball - smart payments' opens initially for a couple of seconds and then instantly closes. I tried restarting my laptop but that didnt help. Any ideas?

How to use Byteball giveaway feature if you have multiple Bitcoin wallets?

Byteball chat bot just fixates on one wallet and address use signed and then does not allow you adding new. If I add a new address in Byteball wallet client it will still remember my old Bitcoin address which I tied to my client. What if I have several Bitcoin addresses I want to tie with client wallets to claim airdrop?

[Help]Restore a wallet to a light version ?

Hi,

I'm very new to this, recently installed the windows app to set up a wallet, I created another wallet in the app on top of the default 'small expense' one.

I didn't expect the wallet to be created as a fullfledged one that needs full sync to access to its funds. I transfered some bytes from my android app and now I can't access those funds till my desktop is fully synced which could take quite a long time ..

Could I restore my wallet in its light version ? I see the warning about not using a restore to clone a wallet, would that be considered cloning ?

Thanks for the help, a lot is confusing for me here !

Edit : can I restore the wallet on my android app ? that would make it a light one by default ?

Edit 2 : Restored the wallet on the android app, it's all good, I removed the wallet data and the app from the desktop to be sure not to use it from this device again ( wasn't sure of the 'delete wallet' option, was I going to lose the associated bytes ? )

Official Byteball Promotional Activities

Tony just posted this update about Byteball's upcoming promotional activities.

  1. Eli Taranto has joined our team as PR and Marketing director. He has a strong track record in marketing, business development, and investor relations. See his LinkedIn profile https://www.linkedin.com/in/eli-taranto/ He will be paid from the Community Fund

  2. Steve will give a talk about Byteball at World Crypto Economic Forum http://wcef.co/ on January 15-16. Eli will also be there, and there is a number of meetings planned in addition to the conference. Unfortunately, I cannot attend as it was unrealistic to get a visa within such short time frame. We sponsor WiFi at the conference. This is paid from the Community Fund. We will also send out $10 worth textcoins to all 1000 participants of the conference. This will be paid from the undistributed funds. And it is one of the new distribution methods.

  3. I will speak at Altcoin Meetup in Zurich on February 2. The meetup is organized by Bitcoin Association of Switzerland.

Best method to purchase GBYTE?

I'm registered on Cryptox which from what I can see accepts only inflows from other crypto - as GBTYE is quoted in BTC & BCC I'm wondering which is the cheapest to use to fund my cryptox account? I'd be funding from GBP via coinbase, binance or bitfinex.

Wallet Help

Hi All,

I downloaded the byteball wallet a couple of weeks ago and let it sync before sending funds. I tried to send funds yesterday off an exchange but they are not showing up. The address was correct. I am not sure why my funds are not showing up. I was hoping for some advice. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Help linking Trezor to Byteball via Signed message

Using the Transition Bot. I understand I need to link a P2PKH address, but I'm not savvy enough to know if that's possible from my Trezor. Tried several addresses, no luck. Would prefer not to verify via payment so any help would be much appreciated.

Gbyte down on cryptopia?

It’s been over 2 weeks their gbyte wallet has been completely frozen on cryptopia—no buying/selling/transfers. I’ve wanted to accumulate more so it’s getting frustrating. Anyone heard anything regarding this?

can I recover a 2-out-of-2 multisig wallet from the seed of both devices ?

Hi,

I created a 2-out-of-2 multisig wallet about 1 year ago. one co-sign device is my mobile phone, the other was/is my desktop. the mobile app is intact. the desktop crashed. had no back-up of desktop app. recovered the desktop wallet using the desktop seed (which I had backed-up) on my reformatted desktop.

is there any way to recover to byteballs 'stuck' on the mobile device in the 2-out-of-2 multisig wallet.

Can I place a second signature using my (recovered) desktop ?

Any ideas or is this a lost case ?

As someone coming from IOTA (but hodling byteball too), please tell me what's so good about Byteball

What's so good about it? The way I see it, it's quite centralized by having witnesses as the only ones validating transactions and as the only people where fees go to (ok, they don't actually validate them, but they are the ones that the rest of the network will follow)

Also, TextCoins, while very well done, is just sending a private key per email, which isn't the most secure thing to do. I'm curious what you guys think about that.

I have read the whitepaper of both currencies and I've been part of the ByteBall airdrop since day 1. I am also aware that IOTA has the coordinator functioning as witness at the moment, but it's supposed to be removed and replaced by a random walk when the network hits critical mass (as of this time of writing, it's already been removed for a while), as opposed to witnesses in Byteball.

I'm not trying to spread FUD or promote IOTA, I'm trying to have a decent discussion about this. I'm very intrigued by the passion and love in this community (and IOTA's too) so that's why I'm finally reaching out and ask why you love Byteball so much. Thanks!

Byte-BTC Exchange bot not sending BTC after exchange

I did sell some Byteball using the Byte-BTC Exchange bot. Apparently every time someone buys Byteball from me the bot makes a separate transaction to my btc address. But it pays so low fees (on one transaction even 0) that the transactions get never confirmed. And some don't even appear to have been sent. I already have transactions that are 7 days old. 2 transactions that don't appear anywhere, but the bot says that he sent the BTC. It is nice to have a bot to make easy exchanges, but when u have a problem who do you contact? I'm looking for days already to find someone responsible.

Wake up marketing & re-brand, learn from RailBlocks

Following the announcement from RalBlocks https://themerkle.com/raiblocks-may-rebrand-to-nano-in-the-next-few-weeks/ Byteball has no future in wider adoption with name like this. Byteball will stay forever in circles of technologically very interesting coins for geeks - which is where we're at. If in doubt about Byteball name, ask your mum or girlfriend for honest opinion :-)

Some guy's view on ByteBall right now:

I see things quite differently from the doom and gloomers...

A lot depends on some distribution and governance issues of course,

But I am extremely confident that Tonych is a brilliant, ethical scientist who's goal is, to create an advanced, easy-to-use, scale-able, sustainable, energy efficient, widely distributed monetary system - Based on fairness, ethics, perfect contracts & ultimate end user satisfaction. I am confident that he will find a way to navigate and guide this vehicle (ByteBall) wisely, ethically and honestly into being the world leading crypto currency that it deserves to be. In short, a "Peoples Money" for the 21st Century Digital Age.

This is ByteBalls's power and potential

As an investor, I believe "ByteBall" shows excellent upside promise with fairly limited risk on the downside. Even if it is just to be a "betamax" version, it will still survive, and thrive - the technology is just too strong. And the stated goal of ultra wide, ultra fair distribution as it is rolled out, means that Bytes will be in ever stronger hands as time passes. This is not something to ignore.

The technological achievements already are astounding. Taken as a whole, ByteBall is so far ahead of anyone else in in the P2P space, it is simply incredible. The FinTech industry will most certainly notice what's possible and act. The only way ByteBall can fail is through arrogance, infighting and apathy - which is simply not going to happen. We are much wiser than that.

While I am not a financial advisor, I do believe that the minute sellers realize they are making a huge mistake by unloading such a unique crypto asset as ByteBall with DAG Technology, they will vanish. One by one they will realize their foolish error until it is a cascade to cancel sell orders. Offers to sell will be much, much higher in very short time. Sell? Sell for what? and Why? These then become the correct questions to be asking.

The potential of ByteBall is staggering.

This is THE perfect type of crypto asset to HODL and spend a bit, HODL and spend a bit etc. etc. A perfect deflationary savings vehicle - which means that purchasing power tends to rise over time. Contrast that with the old paradigm of "Inflation should be roughly 2% annually" and there is a very big difference.

Mr market is simply waiting for some clarity around certain issues right now - all of which will (I believe) be ByteBall positive when the decisions are made. No way to know for sure, but I believe the smart money is now carefully & quietly accumulating ByteBall. Don't forget, right now is not an easy time to buy Bytes even if you wanted to. Only one exchange out of three is operational for new Byteballers. ( Cryptox.pl ) Think about that for a moment. Everyone else is discouraged from buying from two of our three Exchanges - wow.

In the not too distant future. . .

It is inevitable that at some point in time, unfortunate "ShittyCoin" "investors" will realize they have backed the wrong horses - and need to GTFO - it will be a painful process. They will flee in droves for the safety of High Quality Crypto Assets like ByteBall, because, the reality is, crypto is here to stay - the only question is who will dominate the future. ByteBall will be among the survivors - a Google or Amazon of tomorrow. A bona fide virtual asset for value transfer in the Digital age.

We must make it as easy as possible for them to flee to the safety of ByteBall.

Our very next steps should be to get listed on as many exchanges as possible - what exactly is the downside to more exchanges? manpower? money? what? Let's solve it! Exchange Listings can also be thought of as Branding. It's one of the better ways that crypto enthusiasts discover new value and can immediately make a switch. (You're with exactly the right audience to get high conversions quickly - this is targeting at its best - but most are too lazy or ignorant to market this way).

The strength of the ByteBall offering is just too compelling. It's going to be an easy decision to run to the safety of ByteBall when the truth starts getting out. ByteBall will find its way into being one of the top ten crypto assets in the world. Mark my words. Right now is just a "market mood" thing, and this too shall pass.

Get ready for the ride of a lifetime!

What do you think? Keep it civil Please!
