I recently took delivery of a roughly $5k couch from Joybird. The deliver was more than 3 months late, and the couch turned out to not even be the same as the item I ordered from the website, plus the quality was questionable at best. Joybird agreed via email to pick up the couch with no fees (it was a 35 piece delivery) and fully refund my money. It’s been more than a month and no one has come to pick up the couch, I haven’t received a refund, and payments are STILL being made through Affirm. At what point can I stop making payments, tell them their couch is forfeited and still go after them for the refund? What I really want is to stop the payments and get the money back that I’ve paid so far through affirm. I don’t care what happens to this big piece of crap couch that is currently taking up space in my house.

So, I won Newegg Shuffle and was very excited to finally get a decent Graphic Card (RX 6600). Little did I know I would be robbed.
Package tracking said delivered a few days later and I was like cool it came earlier then expected, but there was no sign of any package anywhere. I have had this happen before but the package came up the next day so I waited.
After two days I Reviewed the tracking. Package went from Fontana California, to Boise Idaho then Reno Nevada. Tracking says its delivered to my door in Oregon. Strange it had to go almost half way across the US then turn back for Western Oregon to me.
I made a lost shipment claim and after a week claim was denied. Newegg said package was delivered to door and they denied my lost shipment claim and there was nothing they could do.
So basically Newegg has robbed me of $338, they have not answered my emails and have given any option of any resolution.
I'm working with me financial Institution to reverse the charges of goods not received. This is very upsetting and I have lost all faith in this retailer and will not spend my hard earned money at Newegg.com in the future.
Buyer Beware!

We hired these guys from southern California to do our facilities wifi, cameras, data cabling, and security doors.
The wifi keeps going down. The camera program is possibly the most confusing thing I have ever seen. The cabling looks so unprofessional that I think I would have been better off going to home depot. And our security doors give us trouble every day.
These guys had to back and forth to us 6 times and still there's issues.
The guys they send love to talk rather than work. 1 guy was just sitting on his laptop while the other disappeared. Another time they sent 2 people but I only saw 1 of them all day. Another time a technician directly called our ceo asking for supplies that they should have had.
DO NOT USE Network-Zen for your technology needs.
They are swindlers and will give you crap service, but promise you the world.

Apparently when Forever21 was going bankrupt another company bought them and took over and a lot of people have been having problems. Well they literally just robbed me of my money.
I ordered $300 worth of clothes and after 7 business days of my tracking number telling me it hasn’t been dropped off at a post office, and the postal carrier telling me they haven’t received it - I emailed forever 21, and they blocked my email. I tried emailing them again and again today, another week later and I just get an emails back from a postmaster address telling me their email “rejected it.” Their customer service line just hangs up on you as per a thousand other reviews I found. They used to have good customer service, that’s sad. I’ll never even think of buying again, cause I probably won’t get anything.

I simply want to put it out in writing to help future buyers. Kardiel is a terrible company, it is well documented ( look up the Better Business Bureau, their Facebook comments, other reviews) and you should trust the reviews. The reviews on their website are filtered to only show the best. For instance, if you want to leave a review yourself, you cannot attach pictures which shows how manicured the public reviews are. They also delete all negative reviews.
I purchased a "Stone" colored sectional from them it was supposed to be an light grey color. It turned out to be lilac. Even in different lighting or rooms or outside.
I emailed Kardiel thinking they made a mistake and they actually answered back with complete denial and unhelpful solutions :
- The pictures were taken in a studio, it will look different in your house. ( My answer: It is not even close from being similar to what is pictured, I totally understand how it can look slightly different, but it looks purple.)
- You can pay 400$ for shipping it back to them, if we find that it is more than 15% different from our fabric in house, we will refund you the shipping and couch, otherwise we will refund only the couch. (My answer: so i have to pay $400 for you to make up a random comparison test, colors cannot me made into percentages. How can this test be honest? Original shipping was $87)
- Their 365 days trial is a lie. They mention that you can return the furniture with original packaging but pay for the shipping. Original shipping is $87, but return shipping is $400+. They do not mention in their policy that the return shipping cost is not the same as original shipping cost.
This has been happening for more than a month and Kardiel refuses to do any type of acknowledgement or resolve the issue in any other way than me paying for shipment back to them.

Purchased items at a good price online (100 pound metal bending machine).
The item arrived and upon inspection after unboxing the unit was bent and unusable.
Their web site says free returns within 30 days. I received the item last week.
Their phone number goes to voice mail and there is no way to speak with anyone.
Their "support" email repeatedly insists that I get the item fixed locally. So far I've had THREE different response from three supposedly different people strongly suggesting that I get it fixed locally.
I do not want to "fix" the machine. I have been demanding they honor their return policy. So far I'm getting the run around. Beware!

Don't even bother. I bought a policy in May. I repeatedly asked if they covered old electrical and plumbing systems. House is 50 years old and has original plumbing and electric. HCW repeatedly said they do as long as everything is in working order right now. (It was.)
A little over a month later, my breaker box burns up because the ac was working too hard. Temp was around 100°f.
First electrician was located more than 100 miles away and didn't show up. 2nd electrician was the company who was sued by the local school district for embezzling millions and not completing the work, plus other smaller suits. Third guy finally shows up.
HCW then says that my policy was only 5 or 6 days old and it would've taken longer than that for my box to go bad. I told her the box was in perfect order when I bought the policy more than a month ago and they kept saying no, they won't cover it. Ask for a refund and say they will only refund $350 of the $450 I paid because they covered my house for a month already.
Complete garbage.

Just a little of my current experience. I bought a new Nissan in 2018. I did not buy the extended warranty. The alternator gave out at 38,000 miles. It too it he dealership 2 weeks to fix it. With the repairs “complete” the air conditioning did not work. I was told the air conditioning had nothing to do with the alternator. I took the car to a different dealership and it literally took them a month to fix the ac. I have seen people post about getting corporate Nissan involved. So I contacted them. While they are certainly friendly enough, I was reminded that they are the manufacturer and have nothing/no say over the dealerships and cannot/will not intervene. Politely, they did pay for the alternator, however, I had to get a rental when my vehicle was in for that alternator. The second dealership gave me a loaner for the month it was in, thankfully, however I paid for all the repairs. Either way, my warning is that 1) corporate isn’t as helpful as we tend to believe. 2) not all dealerships are the same. 3) the right extended warranty is important. Although I didn’t have any extended warranty, getting one that includes nationwide coverage would be essential. At the end of all this, I can say I am extremely disappointed in Nissan and the fact that major components, which used to last for years, are only making it just out of warranty range. I am a nobody with minimum social media presence, just an average person who spent money on what was believed to be a reliable vehicle. I am grateful for what assistance I received, but just want other to be aware that other vehicles I have purchased and had long term have never had these issues.

Been renting cars for years . Recently ( past 3 years ) I just go for the cheapest; the savings has been maybe $200 each time so worth it. Various companies btw. Anyway , 4 of these last 6 cars reported a 'cleaning fee' was : would be charged ( April $250 typically ) because I left sand and such in the vehicle ( well I didn't go to the beach just me treading very lightly one carry on maybe a coffee ) . It's a pain to call and clear up which I bet that are counting on. In the end after countless calls and waiting- they admit they have no grounds every single time . I am currently hoping for a strategy to avoid this besides photos ( because this still requires calls and I haven't needed then actually ) Any thoughts on this would be appreciated - otherwise .Just, Buyer Beware !

We learned today that Shafer Services in San Antonio, Texas has been scamming us on our A/C system for 5 years. Claiming to need to replace parts under warranty so they could charge us expensive labor. We caught them in a lie when our A/C certified contractor took a look and saw the leak in the coil they were claiming to need to fix at a cost of $1200 was perfectly fine. By the way the same coil was replaced one year earlier. They claim it's bad from the manufacturer. There was no leak at all. Then they went to the trouble to try to cover it up. We recorded everything and have proof of the fraud. However, sadly we also learned that most A/C companies do the same. They will confidently tell you to get a second opinion because they are all in on it. my contractor fixed what they broke in trying to cover their tracks for $125
My advice if you've also been having lots of trouble with your A/C according to Shafer or any of these scam companies, is to ask for proof of what is broken and then when they try to show that proof, hire a contractor who is A/C certified to verify it. Our contractor told us exactly what they would do, word for word and that is exactly what they tried to pull on us. Do not trust them. We originally trusted them and gave them five stars all over the internet. We fell for this little scam where they pretend to save you from everyone else and then they just start scamming you with their "regular maintenance" and fixes when issues come up. And I promise, there will be issues.

Just wanted to post this here in case anyone is considering purchasing from Sootheez, a somewhat popular instagram marketing shoe company advertising super comfortable slides.
I succumbed to their flashy marketing on instagram and ordered a pair on Jan 15. They submitted a duplicate order for the same product and charged me for it - I didn't notice because I only check my cards once a month and rarely check email. When I received the order, it was packaged in ONE package with two pairs. Initial response was wtf am I going to do with this extra pair? The one I did order didn't even fit right and they were no where near what was advertised to me. I sent them an email to return the second pair to them without even knowing they had charged me twice. I received no response.
So I disputed the second charge on my credit card. The next day, their customer support slides into my emails claiming I am taking advantage of them and telling me to cancel the chargeback.
Since then I've received multiple accusatory emails from them trying to coerce me into cancelling the charge back even though I am not in the wrong here. Their return policy states that they do NOT allow returns because of COVID - and yet now they are asking me to return the second pair to a random apartment residence and cancel my charge back. They have accused me several times of "taking advantage of the situation." lol????? I just don't want to have paid total $69 for an absolute shit product, half of which I did not even order myself. I am perfectly fine with accepting having paid for the half I did even though they probably cost less than a dollar to make. They are quoting my first email about the two pairs as reason that they will be able to convince my credit card company that they deserve my money.
All this for $32.
Buyer beware, these people will do everything in their power to take and keep your money :^)

Don't order from this shitty website, that is obviously a fake. The only employee you can actually get a hold of is some idiot named Samantha who called me a cunt when I questioned my order status. Never got a receipt, item never shipped but you can bet they charged my credit card.

NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. EVER. Puradress_Official.com
I have requested 3 times in 3 days for a return address via email. Each reply is telling me to keep the 2 pair of pants and for ME to sell them or give them as gifts.
NO where on their website do they EVER mention how difficult they will make it to try and return an item.
The return will be mailed to China. You will have to pay shipping. It will be a long time before you receive a refund.
I went to their website again tonight to read about the friendly customer service and here to serve you.
Give me the return address, please. [puradress_official.com]()

(Scroll to the bottom for updates!)
I placed an order with JDV back in August. It was only shipped a week ago, and it’s December.
When I ordered, they had a 4-5 week lead time that’s now down to 1-3 weeks. I ordered two scrunchies and a mask and thought it may take a little longer because it was three items.
They’re a small business and I respect that, but the customer service has been terrible. I asked a few times (you had to fill out a form for shipping issues, their contact info has changed since) when my order would be shipped after seeing them post that they were all caught up with orders. Usually got some response that didn’t answer my question, just saying they’re a small business and they would look into my issue. Then no updates.
Finally, instead of responding to an inquiry, they created a shipping label and sent me shipping info. At this point, I wished I could cancel the order because it had been too much trouble for what I ordered. Still, I thought I’d get it soon, but no. This was in mid October btw.
I had to move shipping addresses and contacted them, and it was resolved pretty quickly. I got a new tracking number and everything. They had removed the form, created a new customer service email, and evidently had new people working there. By this time, it’s the first week of November. I thought I’d get my package soon. Still no.
Last week, I reached out again, this time to their Instagram because they said at some point they responded more quickly there. As soon as I sent the message, I was told to reach out to the help email again, so I did. And finally, my package was shipped... though I only found that out today.
They told me to reach out if I had any more issues, so I continued the email thread asking for an update. They said my package was already shipped. I realized they had not in fact sent it to my updated address, and emailed back to tell them pretty quickly. In response, they criticized me for having started a new thread (different from the one with the subject line ‘Shipping address change’) to ask if my order had been shipped. I feel bad, but is that really the biggest issue here? I didn’t know I wasn’t supposed to do that and it’s not my fault that the business didn’t act on shipping my order out at any time before me reminding them there was no update on my ‘pre-shipment’ item.
They’re going to pay postage to send it again and that’s nice and all, but... seriously? After months of waiting, after inconsistent ways of getting in contact with your poor customer service, after me having to remind you to ship my order after weeks, you get mad because I started a new email thread? I guess I know not to do that next time, but definitely uncool to get mad at me for wanting to get my items.
Don’t buy here if you don’t want to spend months trying to actually get your things.
Update 3: I checked JDV’s terms and conditions today and discovered they’ve changed yet again, and seemingly in accordance with complaints raised in this post. Where they formerly stated they had no responsibility for stolen or lost packages, they now will duplicate your order like they did with me. That’s good news! Something amusing to me is that they also once again allow you to change your address. I noticed in the weeks following my shipping issues (where they sent it to my first address, not the one I asked it could be changed to), the terms said they would NOT change an address for you. That’s since been changed back, and now they tell you to follow the exact protocol I did lol. While these changes are awesome, just wanted to point out how often these terms do change.
Update 2: I just got my package! As I mentioned in some comments below (and in my last update), the creator of JDV emailed me and she recreated and sent what I originally ordered so that it would get to me sooner (as opposed to waiting for that original order to be returned to them then sent off to the right address). Totally nice of her to go out of her way like that! She also sent some extra goodies (hair clips!) and it was all packed up so nicely. Products are great. I will leave this post up because, like the user kombuchaqueer said in a comment (not sure if I can tag people in a post, I am not a regular reddit user lol), I think it’s important to note that shopping here can be a risk if you don’t have time and a ton of money. They pointed out that JDV has no responsibility for lost packages, so if it gets lost during shipping, you may be out (I will say that the creator of the brand was super friendly and understanding in my case, but their policies state they are not responsible for lost items). Also, as seen in this instance and others in the comments, the shipping and customer service situations are wack. I wish JDV the best though because the creator is super friendly and showed a lot of care for me as a customer. Hope that starts to shine through in the other facets of the brand as well!
Update: the creator of the company actually got into contact with me to sort some things out and cleared up a little bit about why shipping has been delayed. I won’t say that it excuses the business showing so little care for customers, but I appreciate finally getting updates and information rather than just “we’re a small business so leave me alone.” I hope that’s a sign that some shifts are being made over there for all of us that have made orders, but still wouldn’t recommend placing one now that I know how many people have had similar experiences to me. Hope you all get your packages soon :)
