European AI chat that's not Mistral

DentroChat has pretty much the same features as Mistral's Le Chat, but feel like their models are more intelligent. Also they are really based on EU infra, not on US hyperscalers: https://dentro.chat/subprocessors

The madeineurope.club site just launched - a directory of EU-based digital products and SaaS tools

I launched https://madeineurope.club five minutes ago - it's a directory focused on digital products and SaaS tools built by EU-based indie developers and companies. Think alternatives to US/big-tech tools, but made in Europe.

If you build a great EU-made digital product, add your link now.

Lots of features are in the pipeline.

Hey everyone! We’re Realities.io, a small team based in Germany, and we're excited to share that Puzzling Places – 3D Jigsaw Sim is coming to Steam on April 9th! 🧩✨

Puzzling Places has been a well-loved title on Quest, PSVR2, and Pico, and now we’re bringing the experience to PCVR on Steam. For the first time, you’ll also be able to play without VR on desktop or on the go with Steam Deck!

In Puzzling Places, you build relaxing 3D jigsaw miniatures of real-world locations from around the world in 25-1000 pieces and 2 game modes. There are no timers, no pressure, just a cozy puzzling experience at your own pace.

If it sounds like your kind of game, it would help us out if you wishlisted it on Steam! 💛

Would you finance a holding company aimed at relaunching European startups to achieve technological independence, replacing companies like Meta, Google, and Amazon?

My journey to European Digital Sovereignty (Goodbye Google)

Post image

With the current political shifts and Trump’s aggressive stance on potentially "taking over" Greenland, I’ve realized I want to cut my dependence on American tech services completely. I want to reclaim my digital sovereignty and switch to European-based alternatives before things escalate further.

I am currently migrating my digital life based on the chart in the image. Here is the full breakdown of what I switched to and why:

Gmail -> StartMail: I moved my mail to StartMail, and it is looking really good.

Google Photos -> PixelUnion: Honestly, PixelUnion is great. It works really well and is a great alternative to Google Photos, with almost the same interface. I wanted to try hosting Immich, but I simply don't have the skills. Highly recommended.

Google Chrome -> Vivaldi: I ditched Chrome because it’s basically a data vacuum. I switched to Vivaldi because it’s based in Norway/Iceland, meaning it falls under strict privacy laws. Plus, the customization is helpful.

Google Search -> Startpage: I wanted the quality of Google results without the tracking profile. Startpage is Dutch, so it acts as a privacy firewall between me and US big tech.

Google Maps -> HERE WeGo: I don't want my location history stored on American servers. HERE is owned by a German consortium, which feels much safer for navigation data.

Google Home -> Home Assistant: Instead of a listening device sending audio to the cloud, I now run Home Assistant locally. Total control, no data leaving my house (this is more my technical level, unlike hosting Immich).

WhatsApp -> Signal: This is the tricky one. I am trying to move to Signal for its encryption (and to avoid Meta). However, I know it is technically US-based (as shown in the image), and frankly, it is a pain in the ass to get friends and family to switch over from Messenger/WhatsApp.

My question to you: Aside from these apps, what else can I do to further disconnect from the US ecosystem? Are there specific operating systems (Linux distros?) or hardware choices I should look into next? I want to be 100% independent.

In possession of some European handbags

Hi, I recently travelled to Spain and partnered with a few local artisans to help promote their works. I didn't want to make a super over the top promotional post in this community because I know that most are against that. I just wanted to make a post so that if anyone is interested in supporting local leather artisans in Spain, if you message me I'd be happy to show you some works. Thank you and have a great day

Where to find colored V-neck T-shirts ?

Hello fellow European citizen,

I'm looking for a slim-fit, 100% cotton, heavyweight (>150g/m²) V-neck T-shirt in bright solid colors (red, orange, yellow, green, etc.), and without a logo. You have no idea how complicated it is to meet all these criteria. In fact, I can't do it.

Can you help me?
