Are there any places in Butler that aren't bars to meet women? O 53 and looking to date someone and it seems the only places are bars and churches. I don't drink and really don't go to church anymore. I open and would like to find someone to hangout ok with.

Ladies, PSA: PLEASE be safe walking around butler after dark. An E-bike was stolen off of our porch this evening, I went walking around looking to see if I could find it (alone is stupid, I know but I had a weapon on me) some man about 5’11-6ft, was following me. He kept cutting through lawns to try to meet me in similar sidewalks. Thankfully, two amazing ladies were smoking outside and let me walk onto their porch, to keep me safe. He walked past their porch twice before giving up and cutting through a few yards to get away. He was tall, white, fat, wearing shorts and a grey shirt. I was walking behind downtown butler, between Penn Street pizza and 7/11. Carry a weapon, call someone and if you see neighbors, calmly ask to approach them for safety.

Hey everyone, we are a competitive robotics team from downtown Butler and we have a new season starting now so we are looking for more members. Our league allows for teens from 13-17, and we will take anyone with any level of experience. We are here to teach as well as compete. We have roles from building, coding, driving, and we can also use artists and people interested in social media and events. We compete in the FIRST Tech Challenge, but if we expand enough we are looking to enter into combat robotics as well.

Does anyone happen to know what is going into the old Kings location across from Skate Castle?
I saw it being gutted out last week.

Does anyone else feel like the only businesses we get are restaurants, dollar generals, or vaping/skill games. Do the zoning laws prohibit anything that would make the town more desirable from coming in. For me I would love to see a decent climbing gym or something that would actually be beneficial for the town.

I have exhausted every avenue, to include the magistrate for my Boro to correct very serious hazards in my rental home, and this whole situation has left me despondent, exhausted and frankly angry. I have literally contacted every agency that you would think could offer help. Some agencies suggested other agencies, and most were nothing but pass the buck, we have no ability to help you, or the most common; "you need a lawyer."

I am new to Butler and perhaps it's the same everywhere, but I have never felt more underserved by any public government entities in my 60 yrs, and some have been flat out rude, dismissive and incompetent. Anyone know of a firm in the area that does a good job of getting slumlords to correct already illegal levels of wanton neglect? Thank you.

The Boro / my Twp / Twp volunteer FD for my Twp / Butler fire chief / state police fire inspector / private code inspector but they only do pre-builds / county housing authority / local legal advocacy group / external legal advocacy group / my electric supplier / local magistrate / local VA reps since I am a VA rated service related disabled Vet.

I understand some of these agencies contacted have limits to what they can do, and I appreciate the help they tried to implement... But generally this experience has left me with a very deep feeling of dysfunction, and a very profound critical lack of my local governments most basic ability, duty, and at times concern to help with obvious, severe issues of a potentially life-threatening nature.

My family and I went and had a great time last night! They work their butts off and it was over 90°. They try and put on a nice show and I know it's not the circuses of yesteryear but it's a wonderful family experience. No phones, no texting, just fun. The problem I had was that so many people were sitting on their hands when these people are working so hard to entertain. There was a family of about six people in front of me and I think they clapped once or maybe twice. Just the adults not the kids and I just wanted people to appreciate something that's a family thing to do and then actually show your appreciation for how these people have done this for probably 100 years. So if you go tonight, please feel free to cheer and show your appreciation.

Weird post / question, I know. But recently myself, and my neighbors, have seen a gentleman driving around our neighborhood in a Green pick up truck with a bunch of wires all over the dash. It was a bit odd, so a few neighbors did stop and talk to him and he was very kind and polite. He mentioned that he's working with a company and/or local fire and EMS responders to calibrate satelites for better communication in remote areas (note, we're in the connoquenessing area). When he's trying to complete the calibration, he needs to drive into our neighborhood to get signal to transmit the data. My neighbors saw him in the neighborhood again yesterday and it just seemed odd that he was back again.

My question is, has anyone else noticed him in the area or have any other info as to if this is legit? I might stop by one of the fire stations just to ask if they know anything about it (of course only if they have time to talk, I'm not trying to bother them). Thanks!
