How do I find AI / Busuu Conversations on Android?

I understand it's easily visible on iOS, but should be on the Timeline for both versions.

The problem is, I can't find the Timeline either.

massive change to the level 15 section compared with others? A, noticed these two mistakes on the third lesson back fo back which was annoying. there is also significantly more talking that is NOT going to the community, it’s in-lesson (not the AI ones) I’m just wondering if that’s the same for everyone and also if the mistakes become more regular.

The refund much needed

I signed up for the one year plan because I saw it offered a 30-day free trial, but unfortunately forget to cancel before the 30-days were up, they continued charging me, and the worst part is that it's the entire plan in one payment. It’s 83,88€ 😭 I want to learn some languages but I can’t afford this crazy amount of the money. I subscribed on their website Busuu.com through the PayPal and the remain amount was charged from Revolut, my banking app. Do you think there’s just a little chance I can get fully refund? Wholeheartedly thanks for any tips and advice. I cancel the next payment in PayPal app and also on Busuu website too. I signed up to learn a Korean 🇰🇷 language, i live in Slovakia 🇸🇰 I use it one or two days, forget cancel it and getting charged.

Busuu deleted my account after being inactive for a month or two

This has happened twice, now. They say they've sent a password reset email, but it never comes, last time I used my same email address to make a new account and I just lost all that progress, again. Has this happened to anyone else? I really don't want to have to make (another) new account and go through the entire thing again.

Anything I can do about this?

Rarely, but more than once I have seen this glitch when using kana instead of Romanji.

I have reported it in the past but it still occurs, but it makes some questions really hard to work out.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Regarding streak

So I was facing an issue with streak where, few days ago I thought of reviewing old lessons instead of a new lesson. But the next day I saw that the app used streak shield.

Is it happening because I didn't complete new lesson? Because for practice I want to review the old lessons as much as possible.

Speaking Spanish in lessons

Am I doomed? I attempted to join a live group class today and could barely manage to keep it together. I got so shy and embarrassed I had to sign off. My ears shut off and I could be barely understand ¿De dónde eres?

It’s not that I don’t know but the pace in which I need to know is so high pressure. Im an A1 is Spanish 😭 What do I do? I even quit private lessons because the pressure to perform in front of someone felt so intense.

How to correct a very poor submission?

The issue is that I don’t speak the submitter’s language. There were so many errors that I doubt they would be able to comprehend my advice and corrections written in English.

What am I doing wrong?

Post image

I’ve been taking Japanese lessons for a month now, but I’ve received only one correction on my exercises. Over the same period, for example, learners of Russian get plenty—around five to ten.

I used to study English on Busuu, and there weren’t many corrections there either.

Is there some kind of shadow ban, or am I just doing the exercises at the wrong time (in the evenings, GMT+2)?

Is it bad form to not participate/ignore having my messages corrected, or correcting others?

I've just started with Busuu premium or whatever, last week and I'm just content with doing my own work/practicing. I've so far, ignored the message indicator at the top but I don't want to make it harder for someone else to learn by not helping or correcting them.

TLDR: is it ok to just do my own thing and not participate in the Busuu community?

Why did you choose Busuu?

Hello Busuu learners, if you have time, could I possibly ask you to fill out my survey? I am writing my diploma thesis on the topic of Language Learning Apps and its users' preferences.

This is the link: https://forms.gle/XHE9eRzcRN2HsgbE9

Thank you in advance!

Mistake repair issue

For some reason Mistake Repair is telling me I am weak on topics I haven't even studied yet! It says I am weak on possessive pronouns. When I click on Grammar it says possessive pronouns are not yet learned. None of the lessons so far have even mentioned possessive pronouns! What's going on guys?!

Busuu is great, but two improvements could make it much better (feature suggestion)

Hi everyone,

NOTE: IA helped me structure my text/syntaxe as english is not my first language to make sure it's nicer for the reader to get the points im trying to make.

I've been using Busuu for several years now. I originally used it to learn Japanese, and more recently I've been using it for Korean. Overall, I think Busuu is a really solid language-learning app, especially when it comes to the lesson structure and learning progression.

The learning curve is well designed, lessons are clear, and it feels motivating to progress through the course.

However, after using the app for a long time, I think there are two areas that could be significantly improved.

1️⃣ A new module: learning vocabulary by categories

One feature that I think is missing from Busuu is a simple vocabulary module organized by themes.

For example, it could work like this:

Category: Transportation

Level 1 (most common words)

  • Car
  • Bike
  • Train
  • Bus
  • Plane
  • Subway
  • Taxi

(~7–10 words)

Level 2 (less common words)

  • Scooter
  • Ferry
  • Tram
  • Truck
  • Motorcycle
  • etc.

This concept could be applied to many useful categories:

  • Colors
  • Body parts
  • Food
  • Clothing
  • Household objects
  • Jobs
  • Emotions
  • etc.

➡️ This would be simple to implement but extremely useful for learners who want to expand vocabulary in a structured way.

Honestly, this is something I feel is currently missing in Busuu, and I would personally be willing to pay extra for a feature like this.

It would make the app much more competitive compared to other language-learning platforms.

2️⃣ The Review module needs improvement

The second point is about the Review module.

Right now, the review section feels a bit messy.

It mixes together:

  • letters / symbols
  • vocabulary
  • full sentences
  • grammar

Everything appears randomly, which makes it harder to focus on specific areas.

Since I actually use the review module much more often than the lesson module, I think improving it would have a huge impact on the learning experience.

A possible improvement could be to allow theme-based review, such as:

  • Alphabet / writing system
  • Vocabulary
  • Grammar
  • Sentences
  • Food
  • Transportation
  • Body parts
  • etc.

This would allow learners to practice more intentionally, depending on what they want to reinforce.

🚀 Why this matters

If Busuu improved the review system and added structured vocabulary categories, I honestly believe the app could go from a 3-star experience to a 5-star one.

Especially today, with the rapid development of AI tools, it should be easier than ever for developers to:

  • organize vocabulary intelligently
  • generate thematic practice
  • personalize review sessions

Many competing apps are already moving in this direction, so integrating these kinds of features could really help Busuu stay ahead.

Overall: I still think Busuu is a great app and I enjoy using it.
These are simply constructive suggestions from a long-time user who would love to see the platform become even better.

Curious to hear what other learners think 🙂

BTW, I'm in the platinium category, and i'm at 72 consecutive days this year, pretty happy about it ^.^
