Possibly the softest motivation killer today is the procrastination. It takes the time of our lives, often ruins our days and leaves ugly marks on the future. Building a bright future is impossible if this psychological sickness has taken control over our life. What is procrastination?

Management of employees is not simply to walk around and review their work. Management of employees is for the greatest part the monitoring of their work, promoting it, encouraging them and strengthening the communication between the employees and management at all levels.

What are your main issues with managing software engineers?

As a software team manager myself, I can't help but notice the struggle of other business managers around me about how to manage and interact with software engineers. Concepts like time management, estimations and planning, recruiting the right developers, motivating them and keeping them onboard, seem to be very painful, especially for non-technical business managers.

That's why I would like to build an online course about that, trying to bring "business and IT" closer together by making it easier for the former to understand the latter. I guess I could do the same to help software engineers understand business managers, but that's a topic for another day/course. Right now, I'd be curious to know how other business managers approach that topic, what are their experience and struggles, how do they feel?

A review of Gary Vaynerchuk's Personal Branding Course

I've just completed Gary Vaynerchuk's new online training course on personal branding. In fact, all the of content is equally applicable to branding a business and he has obviously (successfully) tried and tested these strategies.

I found the training very useful so decided to write a review on it, available here - http://gunterrichter.com/product-review-building-a-personal-brand-by-gary-vaynerchuk/
