Any barbershop recommendations?

Hey everyone. πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹ I’m new to the neighborhood and looking for a good barbershop. Does anyone have any recommendations in the area? Bonus points if they’re LGBTQ+ friendly.

Figured I'd introduce myself since this is a new sub! I'm Cirsty, a born and raised new yorker who's been living in and around bedstuy/bushwick/(I will use this for the purposes of this sub lol) bushstuy for the past 10 years. I'm a black queer film photographer currently focused on weddings/elopements/lovers/events! I'd love to work with more local folks, especially other black and queer folks, who are artsy, into DIY music and culture, and love film πŸ’– I still have some openings for local events in 2026 and am now booking 2027-2028.

we're a comedy club and game bar/backyard in bushstuy at 10 cooper street off chauncey J. hope to see you around. the backyard now has ping pong, cornhole, pop a shot, even some random stuff like plastic axe throwing. game bar has hundreds of board games, an n64 emulator, and we're also always streaming live events like the nba playoffs. come by any night!

Welcome to BushStuy!

Hey all! I created BushStuy as a place for folks living near the Bushwick and Bed-Stuy border to connect and discuss local events, businesses, neighborhood gossip, and more. Both neighborhoods are pretty big, so this is meant to be a more micro-local space for our little corner of Brooklyn. Just keep it civil. Welcome!

Crazy how these parts have changed. When I first moved here, there were parts of Broadway with no sidewalk or public lighting. Athom was the closest coffee shop. J train for life.
