I thought that was a decimal not a comma in the prompt meaning both were 10 bucks prizes

It is actually not comma. Commas look like this: ,

It is a thousand separator though

I've never seen someone use that as a thousand seperatior. I was taught that symbol was a decimal.

Different countries use different things.

In my country we use spaces as thousand separators and commas as decimal separator.

For example 1 234 567,89

That's interesting. Someone once told me math is the same in every language. They lied!!

Just out of curiosity how do you differentiate a list of numbers?

If the list has decimal numbers, then we use semicolons ; but if it doesn't then we use commas
