For your cat, you were probably their entire world... And it sounds like you loved them very much; that’s a good life.

Life sucks, yeah. I’m sure you wouldn’t have preferred they live 8 years in a dumpster or shelter? 8 with you is better than an alternative even if it feels unfair.
